      • Something which is often mentioned yet has never changed through all of the versions is the age of youth(regen) players coming through. They need to consistently be 18 years of age. It is awful frustrating picking up quality regen players who are 23 years of age and then them being 30 before you know it.

        • One more thing that has been present on all versions of ICC which should, ideally, be rectified is the inconsistency of AI international selections.

The AI seems to chop and change players as it sees fit, without taking previous performances into account. For example I just saw a player hit a double century and then get dropped.

In the Australian state game I am playing, where there are a ton of all rounders floating around, the AI will drop all specialist bowlers for limited overs games and just play the allrounders down to number 11. I have had two leg-spinners who are world class and top test match bowlers, and also have top economy rates, and the AI never selects them for shorter form fixtures.

          • Interstate movement of players seemed like a nice real-life feature to add but it has proved to be more annoying than anything as the players that move to your state are almost always either bad or well past their best.

            • Below Is my thoughts

              1) When session end in International mode There is no message of retire
              Players .

              2) I want AI to become more smart

such as If they have to chase high score and loosed early wickets Then Play
Passionately , Rather Then always chasing to Required runrate and got out
After Historical Retired Players Stats ,Captains Record
              Is my Next Dream

              • Not holding my breath.

                12x bitten - permanently shy!

While other software initially released in 1998 and coded by a team of two gives us this ...

And the ECB itself used this ...

We patient cricket sim lovers get...

                Well nothing.
I'll wait for news of a list of features they

                • "Didn't have time in the last 13 years" to put in. But they have...
                • "Listened to what the players wanted and implemented as much as we can" With a soupcon of...
                • "We promise to add more next year" Adding...
                • "This year is incremental, next year we will make it worth your while"...Again......

                Manyana Manyana.

Will 2012 be another "Jam tomorrow" release?

It seems like the same cycle every year, promises from the previous release of

                "new features next year"...

..without explicitly giving any assurances what-so-ever as to what those additions might be

Missing stat features that are about as basic to the enjoyment of cricket to many as a bat and a ball.

The continued lack of stats in ICC is not so much the elephant in the room - as the Brontosaurus in the bathtub.

                • I know I have already suggested allowing the AI to recall previous performances when selecting international teams, e.g: the batsman who got dropped for the second test match after he scored a double-century in the first.

Another thing I wanted to add, which may or may not have already been mentioned, also involves upgrading the AI's "brain".

Take the screenshot below for example, two bowlers bowl out in the death overs and get pummeled while the most economical bowler of the innings gets left with an over spare.

Same, but would rather Western Warriors & Otago Volts. Caribbean T20 wouldn't be bad either

                          • Some things I think should be included in the next version of ICC:
                            • An aggresion boost for batsman, so that for example in the last over of a 40 over match, your batsmen don't block half the over.
                            • When changing the aggresion rating for a bowler to a batsman, if a user defined field is set the field should stay the same.
                            • An ability to bowl a bouncer at a choice time (just one ball) to attempt to dismiss or unsettle the batsmen. It could take off a disproportionate amount of stamina but would have a chance to lower how settled the batsman is and an increased chance of injuring the batsman relative to how good the bowler is (the chance increasing with skill and speed). Also, the ability to bowl a yorker length rather than just full which seems to still be shorter than yorkers. Obviously poor bowlers attempting yorkers would have the potential to go for loads of runs as they will bowl full tosses and half-volleys, but good bowlers will probably take a lot of wickets if the batsmen are very aggresive.
                            • A setting for batsman where they really do just block rather than hitting sixes (however occasional, when trying to bat for a day to get a draw, very few people would hit any sixes).
                            • Fielders should also have the potential to get injured, as well as bowlers - before they are entirely exhausted, as people do break fingers and whatever when in the field.

                            • I feel like the aggression bars for batting should change meaning based on the type of match you are batting in... in a FC match, for example, a normal/3 bar batting rate might be around a strike rate of 50 for a normal batsman (Perfectly neutral between aggressive and defensive), whereas in a T20 match, a normal rate for the same batsman might be around a strike rate of 90, so as to allow a greater range of bars to be used in all matches - normally, in any one form of the game, you aren't going to be using more than 4 of the 8 possible batting aggression bars.

                              • A lot of people are asking for features that turns the job of cricket captain into one of controlling a group of 11 automatons.
Any feature that insists that a player - either batting or bowling HAS to perform a specific action for every ball is not realistic. It doesn't happen.

You can increase the likelyhood of something happening in a match - to a very high degree in many/most cases, but you never have a guarantee.

"Give him a bouncer followed by a length ball outside off, then a slower ball at middle stump then....."

Any captain that says that to any bowler will last about one match.
I've seen so many sensible players - playing for a draw, with no chance of winning and a draw the only thing to go for - suddenly swiping out. WHy? Who knows? Who cares why...it just happnes. Not often - but it just happens.

I'm not saying the control in ICC is brilliant - there are plenty of ways it could be tweaked. But having absolute control over a players actions down to a granular "ball by ball" level is not remotely realistic.
The continued lack of stats in ICC is not so much the elephant in the room - as the Brontosaurus in the bathtub.
