Have played an International save with India till the Test Championship of 2021 and have found below points-
H Pandya needs a batting and bowling boost. Certainly a batting boost as in game across the last two seasons he averages in the range of 15-20 for domestic OD/T20 matches. His ratings are spot on in both formats, certainly his batting is some way off those sorts of averages.
K Pandya could do with a little upskill in his bowling skills for OD/T20 matches.Don't agree
KL Rahul should be termed as an aggressive player in batting. He's border line, for now I'm going to leave him as average aggression.
K Gowtham needs a slight batting boost. Averages in 10s across the three formats. His batting ability reflects real life, averages in the 10s is about right. He can bat aggressively, just not for very long.
Harvik Desai is a wicketkeeper batsman. In game has been made only a batsman.Changed
Hanuma Vihari is a handy part time bowler. Needs a slight boost in his bowling as in game he does not bowl at all. Agreed, improved.
Manjot Kalra needs a batting boost as in game he has not played a game for 3 yrs.
Nitish Rana needs a batting boost as in all three formats in game he averages less than 30 for two consecutive seasons. Also bowls part time spin regularly in domestic cricket in real life but in game has not bowled for the past two seasons. Improved his bowling, nothing wrong with his batting ability.
Navdeep Saini needs a boost in his bowling skills as he has featured in only 9 FC games across two seasons in game and has not been selected for any OD/T20 game. Tweaked the AI for him.
Sanju Samson needs a considerable batting upskill in T20 cricket as across last two seasons in game has played 25 T20 matches and has averaged around 14 with only 1 50+ score.Again, not seeing much wrong with his batting ability, certainly not for that sort of average.
Riyan Parag needs a batting and bowling boost. Has been averaging in 20s in batting in game. Also has bowled a combined 7 overs across three formats in the last two years in game whereas in real life is considered slightly better than a part time spinner going by his career stats. Bowling improved. Batting looks okay.
Harshal Patel needs to be made a bowler and not an all rounder in game going by his career stats. He's an opener all-rounder, he's just not that good with the bat. Looks like he gets used as a pinch hitter in OD games.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti has been rated poorly in game as he has not been selected to play a single game in the last two seasons. Needs a bowling upskill so that gets selected in game. Significantly improved.
Rahul Chahar needs a bowling upgrade in OD/T20 matches as his current domestic record suggests. Really is nothing wrong his current or potential abitlity.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar could do with a slight bowling boost as in game averages above 30 in FC/OD games in the last two seasons. Nothing wrong with his rating.
Sarfaraz Khan will be playing for Mumbai in FC cricket from this season. Thanks, changed.

Not sure whether the DB has been locked for the next patch, but noticed that the AI has Ed Barnard at Worcs batting at No.4, I know he is a promising allrounder but he bats at 8 or 9 in real life. This bug has been fixed.
Another curious one is Matt Taylor at Gloucs took 51 wickets at 23 last season and is ever present this season, yet the AI selects Stuart Whittingham who hasn't played this season ahead of him. Improved Taylor.

There is some type of bug where the AI randomly picks allrounders, and bowlers who can bat, to bat at #4. This would have been the same reason that Weighell was batting at #4 and the user "muzzy" had Jhye Richardson batting there. This issue was present in the last version and never fixed. Don't ask me why but it is always #4 for some reason. Sureshot implied he has done something about this issue in a previous post.

Oh and S.Shahidullah (Afghanistan) should be an allrounder - he has bowled a decent amount of overs in all of his most recent matches, across all three formats.

Is it still possible to change player ability like Preed suggested? Some of the issues he stated were in this game for the last version too.

            .
The latest patch is an improvement for batting position selections, Chris is investigating this all-rounder at #4 issue that sometimes crops up.

Not so sure it is just an All-Rounder issue, it seems to be Bowling All-rounders as there are plenty of batting allrounders of bat in the top order.

Bowling and Batting all-rounders have been accounted for.

Thanks so much for this. I've been trying to nail down this batting order bug for ages, and have fixed all sorts of things with players defined batting types in the database. Finally found the issue because you said it was always no. 4. It's supposed to put the best batsmen at no.4 but the sort wasn't working properly, so it was grabbing the wrong player. Didn't quite make it into the Steam build that's just been released, but we'll do another quick update to fix it.

Albeit with my Kent-tinted glasses on, Zac Crawley and Ollie Robinson seem a bit underrated with the bat. Crawley especially.

A lot of times in both 50 over and t20 games the AI rarely uses a 6th bowler, and the opening bowlers will also a lot of the time bowl out 7+ overs each to start the innings, even if they are being smacked around.

Was the same in the previous edition, but thought it may have been worked on for the new release. Loving it regardless. Thanks.
Any word on this? Or is it more of a bug, should I go to that thread?

I second that. There should also be better skills for Ishan Porel, Shivam Dube...

Both these players are highly rated.

Great work on the update Nige, Just being picky now
Mainly AI selection issues. NOTTS - the AI seems to select Opener Duckett as the wicket keeper, thus not selecting our IRL 1st choice gloveman Tom Moores. Hmm, this is a tricky one.
NORTHANTS - Luke Proctor hasn't opened since being at Northants he bats at 7 or 8. Vasconcelos has opened this season with either Newton or Curran. Reverted Procter to a normal all-rounder.
LEICS - The AI selects IRL reserve wicket keeper Harry Swindells as opener, Ateeq Javid has opened with Horton in every 1st Class match this season, Lewis Hill is 1st choice Keeper. Also Hasan Azad is not an overseas player, he was signed from Loughborough Uni and was previously at the Notts Academy, also he is not an opener, he has batted at 3 in every FC game this season.

Changed Azad to English and middle order.

                              Changed Ateeq to opener-all rounder.

                              Tweaked Hill and Swindells

With the new patch here is the AI's squad for Bangladesh's first post world cup test match

Some key omissions there with Shakib, the world's leading allrounder being the most notable. He should be making it as a batsman or bowler alone!
Mahmudullah and Mominul Haque also should definitely be in there.

EDIT: Also Pujara is opening in test matches, so better change him to FC#3
