Not really to be truthful. When I decided to bowl Maxwell and he got annihilated I figured it was game over, they needed 5.2 an over from there and had wickets in hand. I'd saved overs from all the main bowlers for the final overs, bit the bullet and used them up and luckily it paid off. NCN and Marsh got on a roll and things clicked nicely.

AUSTRALIA TEAM NEWS

Quite bummed this is only a 15 man squad, as I would have loved to fit Nathan Coulter-Nile in as well as a reserve keeper. Oh well, we'll have to make do. In terms of the line-up everything looks pretty settled from the squad selected, with James Faulkner the only notable admission through injury. The only real question is who they go for in the spin department. Nathan Lyon has caps, Adam Zampa had an impressive One Day domestic season last year, or do we back Glenn Maxwell to get through ten over as the #1 spinner?

BREAKING SELECTION NEWS!

It has been revealed that 23 year old South Australian leg spinner Adam Zampa will become Australia's 207th One Day International player. Adam comes off a very good One Day domestic season that saw him take 10 wickets @ 26.50 from his 7 games with an economy of 4.73 and best figures of 4-18.

FIRST ODI REVIEW + SECOND ODI NEWS

Well, that was quite lucky. I'd like to thank the English side for not knowing how to judge a run, first and foremost. As you can probably tell from the breakdowns, we were thoroughly outplayed for the vast majority of the match. I thought we batted pretty poorly, quite a few batsman got starts and failed to capitalise which is a pet hate of mine. Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell scored exactly 50 in their 50th One Day International (gotta be something in that!) but aside from that, not much to speak about. Mitchell Johnson hit 12 off the first three balls of Ben Stokes' final over, which as you can see was match-winning. Again, thought we weren't great with the ball. Adam Lyth and Moeen Ali put on 112 runs before I was even given a look in. At the 30 over mark England were well in control, even at the 40 over mark they should have cruised home. Still, a win is a win and I'm certainly not complaining.

Probably too early to think about any changes. Adam Zampa got belted around a bit but we'll have to assess the pitch before committing to an XI for the match.

SECOND ODI REVIEW + THIRD ODI NEWS

Once again we were incredibly lucky. Not sure how long this luck can last, but I'm thankful for it. Despite what Australia's bowling figures may suggest, I thought we bowled okay without luck. Moeen Ali and Adam Lyth are in great nick and gave us absolutely no chances at all. Gurinder Sandhu finally got the breakthrough and not long after Josh Hazlewood snared one too. It was clearly a batting strip, and didn't Steve Smith make the most of it? Smashing a very quick 112 with some great support from George Bailey who contributed a much deserved 54. Runs came really easily and a heavily bat dominated game, but it went the distance with Mitchell Starc hitting the winning runs with just two balls remaining.

Again, we won't really know the selected side until we can assess the pitch and conditions, but I'd prefer to have a frontline spinner in the side.

Gee whiz the side is riding their luck a bit! Admittedly our bowlers aren't in great touch, but the pitches have been standard roads so far, hasn't really provided me with a great deal of chances. Still, winners are grinners I guess. We were a fair bit off the RRR for chunks to tell you the truth. Within touch throughout, but without the 20-30 + 40-50 over blocks we wouldn't have had a chance. No idea why they kept turning to Ben Stokes as it clearly wasn't his day.

This is a great story!
