Nottinghamshire vs Leicestershire
Squad News:
We go into our first T20 match of the campaign, by selecting an unchanged squad. I’m pretty confident that the team will be able to deal with the change of format with no real problems.
Toss:
Leics win the toss , and they choose to bat first
Leics Innings:
Leicestershire only have two or three major batsmen in their team, and all 3 were removed before causing a problem. Rutherford and Quayle both went in Jefferson’s first over, and Coleman only got 19 before Wyatt got him. With 7 down after 8 overs, Leics were going to struggle, and Shone didn’t help matters, getting 2 wickets. 62 all out just shows how far our bowling attack has come this season.
Notts Innings:
We chased the runs a little slowly, but with ease. A pretty nice way to start our campaign.
Batting Award:
Alex Hales – posted the most runs
Bowling Award:
Paul Jefferson – A devastating first over, removed two of the biggest threats, and set the tone for the innings
