I would also like that if you are performing really well with your team as CEO and making a lot of good fixtures etc. you should be offered the position as CEO of the ICC (I realise that you can't use the name but you could say cricket's governing body or something along those lines so you can organize special world cups and create new tournaments (for example you could create a world test championship or make the world cup every 2 years instead of 4.) You could also change and add rules (for example you could re-introduce timeless tests.) This would give fans the complete cricket experience.

This will never ever happen, I'm surprised you don't realise that.

The "A" Team idea is brilliant, that way you can put in players that consistantly preform in the domestic series' but cant preform at an International Level, and see if they really are any good, aswell as developing gun kids quicker!!!
        HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!

A new role that would prevent the user from playing the game ... brilliant

I'd like the fixtures that are generated after you get past the current future tours programme to take into account the ranking system. The smaller nations seem to only get short series, even after all your hard work to move them up the ranks.

just a few new ideas for CC2013, a little bit of fun, little bit of passion, and a little bit of we need to add to the fan base ! note: i have absolutely no idea how long these would take, just wanted to see a response from the fans and chris or sure shot

                  1. make a popup for century's, five-for's, 10 wicket match, 10 wicket innings, fastest 50's and 100's etc, also 1000 runs scored against a certain nation, 1000 runs scored at a ground or in a country and also do this for each individual, so for example if regen player 'Joe Smith' scores his 9th test hundred, which happens to be his fastest and also his 500th run at home, three separate popups come up describing each one.

                  2. a very common one, make the top 10 current affiliate teams playable, or at least bring affiliate players into contention for ill, county cricket or aussie state cricket, as some of these players eg bangladeshi spinners or afghanistan openers, are absolute guns

                  3. one for the fans now, possibly bring in grounds names rather than just knowing you are playing at home or away, also you could change boundary sizes, eg at the mcg its big all round, but at say adelaide oval, guys with a good technique may struggle to play down the ground, while guys that are better known hitters or play of the back foot can score boundaries square of the wicket with ease.

                  4. more keeper and allrounder regens, especially allrounders that can open the batting

                  5. could there possibly be more tri series, with say each team playing the other sides twice each, as it keeps the game more interesting

                  6. make experience count in tough situations, too often i find my captain eg michael clarke or come in at say 3/10 and fail immediately, or vice versa im suddenly 4/10 and then our number 6 who is a rookie regen suddenly comes in scores a classy century which jus baffles me as it seems as though captains or experienced players offer nothing in tought situations or big games eg ashes series, or finals series.

                  7. could there be a limit on the amount of people i have missing from my county/state sides, sometimes upto 8 or 9 including my keeper and the only good keeper regen i ever got, plus a guy avg 35 with the bat and ball making the test side and suddenly avg 55 with the bat and 20 with the ball, noone could ever see that was going to happen.

                  8. stats on u/19's world cups, great place to get an early view of minnows before you draft them into the county/national squad

                  9. now for the fun, the parts that need to carry on such as minnows lasting deep into world cups, minnows forcing draws or the odd win against high quality outfits on home soil, the ability for the odd miracle performance from a batsman or bowler, really really tight world cup finals, against the odds victories due to injury/retired hurts, the ability to move both up and down the rankings every few years due to a lack of depth or the sudden meteoric rise of a world class fast bowling unit eg south africa currently.

now that ive made my suggestions, Cricket Captain fans hit me with some info if you like or agree and also if you have any thoughts on adding to these ideas. i would like to say however that Chris and the team are ABSOLUTE LEGENDS, this post is not meant to offend in anyway, this is just a constructive post on ideas for the future while i wait for iphone and mac editions to come out !

A small improvement that could be made to the bowling department, is that economy be taken into account more when calculating a bowler's form.

Too often, I'll have a bowler bowling great spells but not taking wickets, which is great in the shorter form of the game. However, if they are consistently not taking wickets but bowling say at an RPO of 3, they still lose their form, and end up horrendously out of form and no longer economical.

If you think of a player in real life like Daniel Vettori. For the last few years he hasn't really been an attacking threat and hasn't picked up many wickets, but he was in the NZ ODI side right up till when he retired, because he was really economical. If the worth of his bowling performance was calculated the same way that ICC calculates it, then he probably would have been out of the side in 2006.

Changing this would improve the game, in my opinion and also help it reflect the real world a little better.

OK, here is my 10 point plan....

                      1. Introduce FC cricket from every country, not just Australia and England. Also, it should sim every domestic game in competitions you aren't playing, as currently everyone plays if you aren't simming that comp, which is unrealistic.
                      2. Redo the Australian system - allow you to buy new players and give better youth options. As of now you can't really change your squad much.
                      3. Introduce minnows.
                      4. U/19 and A-team matches.
                      5. Bowling preferences (e.g. if bowler is defensive or aggressive, etc.)
                      6. Different ratings for different formats (e.g. someone like Dhoni or traditionally Bevan was better at ODI's than Tests, and players like Steyn and Siddle better at Tests)
                      7. Mental toughness as a attribute, perhaps determining how well someone succeeds at a higher level.
                      8. Bring back photos, proper team emblems and proper grounds.
                      9. With grounds, have set conditions for grounds (e.g. Adelaide would be flat with a high chance of taking spin late in the game, Perth flat with a lot of bounce, etc.)
                      10. Introduce an editor for further replay value. Also, add option for multiple databases, and to ban edited databases online.

Do they sound good? That's what could make the game awesome.

                          Also....

Retirement stagger. Many players depart from international cricket before departing from all cricket. Take Warne, Murali, Gilchrist, Hayden, etc.

Ability to change jobs and get fired during the game. Also, domestic and international really shouldn't be coached at the same time.

                          Better assistant/specialist coaching options.

Option to bring in new EU/Kolpak players.

More accurate transfer market. Players would be more likely to sign with stronger clubs, and would be more likely to leave weak clubs, or leave if they cannot get games. ATM players always say yes to re-signing if you meet their demands. Their demands should be tied to certain circumstances.

                          One-day rain.

                          UDRS.

Players who get hurt during a match can reappear.

Scenarios (like take a weak side to a trophy in a few years, etc.)

Bring back classic series. Now that we have retired player stats, it would be great to have some classic series where you can use these players.

                              - Notifications when players in the squad retire/change states in domestic games, or when players with international experience retire in international games. I'm sure at least the former was in previous versions, and I'm baffled as to why it was removed.

                              - International retirements

                              - Tone down the power of spinners

                              - Increase scores and strike rates, particularly in one-day games

                              - Allow the option of playing a domestic career without taking on an additional T20 side

                                For:

"Notifications when players in the squad retire/change states in domestic games"

Is this something you've noticed in Aus domestic?
