For the next database update, could you perhaps add U19 opener Mohammad Huraira too. He's Shoaib Malik's nephew and did well vs Afghanistan in the U19 WC QF...I'm sure he's going to come close to being selected in the PAK team in future

This is sort of related to the database - what ever happened to the player photos in Cricket Captain? I may be showing my age a bit, but I used to love the player mugshots back in ICC2.

Did they have to be removed due to some sort of image rights issue? If so, then it would be amazing to have the option to re-enable them and we could have a fan-run forum thread to contribute our own photos to an unofficial photo database. (Similar things have been done in the past for football management games).

I can imagine this wouldn't be feasible because the game is now laid out differently (and it would somehow still have to look good without photos, while also accommodating them). But I have some great memories of ICC2, so I say bring back the mugshots!

I'll need date of birth, batting/bowling types and any preferences in terms of aggression, etc or I'll have to randomise it.

Yes, click on the name button at the top of the player list. The demo won't get updated until after the next full Steam patch.

Ah great. I wonder about Matt Taylor too, he was once part of England's pace prospect training program when we lacked proper fast bowlers but he tends to bowl in the same mid 80s range as Payne now.

Steel and Scott are interesting call ups for Scotland. I did wonder if Cameron Steel at Durham was related and might also be getting looked at but Scotland but it appears he was in a recent USA squad!

Think you missed this one Nigel. Is there an ETA on the next patch/database update?

Also have you ever considered a 'live database' download link so that players can download the most up to date database independent of the patch releases?

Just seeing the post from Lynx54321, asking if there will be a patch/database update anytime soon, I was wondering if the South African players, I proposed in a post to Sureshot, could be included in the all time greats?

weetabixharry Unfortunately due to image rights we can't have player photos.

My point was that the game could be released without any photos and fans could build up an unofficial photo pack (as has been done in the past for football management games). As far as I'm aware, we're free to do what we want - I could have Elvis Presley and Cristiano Ronaldo opening the bowling for Pakistan if I wanted. As it happens, I wouldn't want that - I'd want accurate photos.

If I recall correctly, regens in ICC2 just had some default graphic, but I was able to make my own photos appear in-game by putting them in a specific directory with a specific naming convention. (I remember having my mum bat in the middle order for England). The same system would work now, except we'd have to provide all the photos.

Hi guys, have enjoyed going through the game briefly. Haven't had a lot of time to sit down and play properly but have just been looking at the squads and 'skipping' through games to look at simmed results.

Now I know it's not a huge focus given they aren't playable in the career modes, but was wondering if there will be updates to non-Full Member teams as time goes on and if a T20 World Cup goes ahead? Also, will PNG or Namibia be playable in the T20 World Cup mode? Have noticed there is only two or three real players for PNG in a whole squad. Noticed a lot of UAE players embroiled in fixing scandals/fled the country are still in the squad. Shaiman Anwar, Mohammad Naveed and Qadeer Ahmed are all banned by the ICC at present and Ghulam Shabbir fled the country. HK's Nadeem Ahmed is banned for life too.

A player to definitely add would be Jonathan Figy of UAE. Good young left-hand bat coming through. Couple of ODIs played at the backend of last year.

Will help more if I see stuff more in depth!

Sureshot so I tried the demo and most of the stuff looks great, but the AI seems to be selecting Sarfaraz as Pakistan captain still, although Babar should be OD and T20 captain now, and Azhar in tests.

All International captains now updated.

Rizwan is definitely the first choice WK for Tests and ODIs as of now.

Done some more tweaks and checks, he's being picked in all formats now.

Abbas is being selected in the OD and even the T20 squads which is unlikely to happen.

Haider Ali wasnt in the LO squads, but I guess it was just the first 2 series and he would eventually make his way into the squad. I did select him personally though and his performances were satisfying.

Also, for Khushdil Shah it says strong pace preference, when irl he's actually a beast against the spinners, but isn't that strong vs pace compared to spin.

I'm not sure if the demo is updated yet, but Abbas and also Yasir (another test specialist) were still being picked by the AI in the Pakistan ODI squad

Ahmed Shehzad got in the squad too as reserve opener ahead of Abid Ali, whereas Abid is the 3rd choice after Fakhar and Imam irl currently.

Also this didnt happen in career mode, but in tournament mode, custom series, the AI picked Umar Akmal in the squad and even in the XI although he is currently serving a ban.
