Id swapped Sheen out for Wakely, because of Sheen's fitness.
We lost the toss and Worcestershire wanted to bat.

Keogh removed Ali in the 4th over for 15. Score is 31-1 from 4.1 overs.
Starc then removed Mitchell, and 6 overs later Crook removed Rahim, Worcester now 115-3 from 13.4 overs.
Gleeson claimed Fell's wicket 151-4 from 16.5 overs.
53 runs and 3 wickets came from the final 4 overs. This wasnt good enough for me, we needed to bat really well!!



McCullum fell in the 2nd over, and Marwood went next ball. Rossington then fell 3 balls later. We had collapsed to 22-3 from 2.5 overs.
Keogh soon fell as we fell to 25-4.
Duckett and Levi were combining well breaking the record for the 5th wicket stand. Score now 77-5 from 8 overs. Duckett reached his 50 from just 28 balls. Levi was out next over for 39 from 23, Northants current score 107-6 from 11 overs.
We soon slipped to 165 all out, nobody staying in. Some harsh decisions required for the next game!! our middle order were always failing, so many games had we reached 80/90 for 1 or 2 then struggled to make 160!!
Duckett managed 81 not out from 56 balls. 165 all out from 19.5 overs.
RESULT: WORCESTERSHIRE WON BY 28 RUNS

Northants vs Derybshire away
2 changes for us, Levi and Rossington out. Hughes and Sheen back in
We won the toss and batted first.

Duckett fell in just the 11th ball for today. McCullum just 15 balls later. Northants now 30-2 from 4.3 overs
Marwood fell after 7.2 overs. Hughes and Sheen fell cheaply. Score now 89 for 5.
Wakely and Keogh put on an 80 partnership that was another record (every game this season weve broke one!) Score now 170-5 with 6 balls left.
We only managed 173 for 6. Keogh falling for 63 from 40.
Yet again we needed to bowl very well.


Sanderson removed Wilson from his 4th ball of his 1st over.
Starc removed Axley for 2 in the next over. Derby 15-2 from 2.1 overs.
Sanderson removed Madsen 2 overs later.
Starc then took Flint's wicket next over, Derby now 38-4 from 4.5 overs.
Starc took his 3rd wicket claiming Thakor for 12 from 48. Derby now 59-5 from 6.5 overs.
Then in the final ball of Starc's spell and Starc claimed Smit's wicket. Derby now 64-6 from 7 overs.
Sanderson then bowled Critchley, then later that over removed Milnes. Derby now staring down the barrel on 70-8 from 8 overs.
Gleeson trapped Henry LBW, just 1 wicket needed for victory again.
Sheen then bowled Viljoen for 13 completing the much needed victory for us!
RESULT: NORTHANTS WIN BY 80 RUNS
Much needed victory for us today, great result!


Table was still looking good for us.
