  • Batting Woes!

    Hi Guys
I am a big fan of cc2015. But I am not able to score runs. My team always gets out under 35 runs. I dont know how all of you score so many runs. I would be thankful if you help me to improve my batting.
    Cheers

Which team are you playing against and which team are you captaining ?
These are the usual aggressions at the start of the game.
            FC - 2-3 bars
            OD - 5 bars
            T20 - 7-8 bars

Well I can understand that collapses happen in T20s but in FC or OD, I never get out <100. If you are playing the County Championships, you will manage lower totals than AUS FC or IND FC. How is your bowling attack ?

For me, I find that I need to set aggression a bit lower than what the good players recommend - to avoid a collapse. I tend to go 0-1 bars at the start fo a FC match, and ramp it up at 5 overs and then again at 10. I very seldom go about 3 bars in a FC game.

Well, the aggression really depends on the teams.
                First-Class games
If I am playing a full strength NSW, Yorkshire or Mumbai CC (probably the strongest teams in respective domestic comps.) I will go at higher aggressions (4 bars) and target weaker bowlers to get cheap runs. If I am playing a weak batting line-up, then I will look to go slower. I haven't captained a weak team in CC2015 for long. I guess Raver's approach is correct when conditions are suitable for bowlers (in 4th innings) and the batting line-up is thin.

I usually play with india domestic t20 team.
in bowling the other team hits more than 200 runs
and in batting i get out below 35 runs
all players have form of 3.5 stars

You should read the rough guide available on the forum in the sticky threads column. Is this the IPL team.

Mumbai CC has traditionally been a strong team. You need to focus on these players :
                            1) R. Sharma
                            2) A. Rahane
                            3) S. Iyer
                            4) D. Kulkarni
                            5) Harmeet Singh
                            6) A. Nayar (in Limited Overs)
                            7) S. Yadav

You can develop youth players who come in the auction at the start of the Indian season i.e. Sep-Oct
A batsman with 50+ 2nd XI FC average and a bowler with an average less than 22 should be decent.

You should look out for these superb performers in the game :
                            Sagar Mangalorkar
                            Shivam Sharma
                            Deepak Hooda
                            Navdeep Saini
                            Vijay Shankar
                            Ankush Bains
                            S. Gugale
                            Ankit Bawne

When you have R. Sharma and S. Iyer available for you can look to attack. If you are not able to win in FC games, look for a first innings lead. In T20 look to target their weaker bowlers. Go at 5-6 bars against good bowlers in form and make up for that by thrashing others. Look for a defensive field while bowling.
