  • How does training work?

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it's some sort of bug, but no matter how long a player is getting coached, it always says in his profile "Coaching effect: 0%". I'm trying to make a spinner specialist better at playing pace, and has been holding him on batting fast bowling for two seasons, to no obvious effect.

Also, what is batting and bowling practice for?

In general, where can I read about these features to understand better how they work?

    Thanks! I'm new here

    Hi Sashaaus,

I think the manual is about your best bet for understanding this stuff. Not sure why you're having trouble getting progress with your pace bowling training, but the bowling practice just lifts the bowler's bowling form. I think it helps a little bit with how they'll perform in the next match.

As a general thing, much of these things are deliberatly documented in a minimalistic way, and the presumption is that they will work roughly how they would in real life.

      Hello Sashaaus,

Batting and Bowling Practice help a player gain form.
Special Technique Coaching helps a player to improve in a particular field.
Aggressive Shots is what I use frequently.
      For example,
      1. A very defensive player will become defensive after being given aggressive shots.
      2. An aggressive player will become very aggressive after being given aggressive shots.
(This will appear in the batting preferences)
I have also noticed that some players do not change their preference if they are too old or experienced. It is best to use when a player is young and promising.

Thanks, guys, I've missed the mention of "practice" in the manual, but now I get it!
With training, I think it works, as from time to time I get messages along the lines of "Player has improved his aggressive shots" or something like that. So, the training does give the results, but for some reason the progress % always shows as 0.

Progress % appears when you give batting/bowling practice.
Days appears when you give technique coaching.
