I do not think anyone would have predicted this but in the World Cup, I was playing with the Australians and we ran into the mighty Netherlands in the semi-finals. They had already knocked off Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and in the quarters the favourites India but we still were favourites. But we were as shocked as the others when we lost to them. The final was then West Indies vs Netherlands (no-one would have expected that) and then to everyone's surprise, the Netherlands snuck home by one wicket to win the World Cup.
