So this is a problem I'm having on ICC 2012 (ipad version) but I'm posting here as it's a more active forum.
I'm not sure if this is my tactics or a match engine bug, but for as long as I can remember I rarely seem to bat well in one day games when batting first - I do OK generally but most of my wins come batting second, bowling well and chasing a modest total.
Most games where I bat first follow a regular pattern. I start on 4-5 aggression and make a solid-good start normally scoring between 4.5-7 an over well into the first powerplay.
Then my batsmen randomly grind to a halt, and start scoring at 1-2 runs an over. At this point I'll either remain patient, or increase the aggression one notch. If I increase the aggression, I will instantly lose a wicket, which triggers a collapse. If I'm patient, my run rate will drop to about 3.5 an over, at which point I'll increase the aggression, resulting in the same instant wicket and collapse.
I would say this happens a good 70 - 80% of the times I bat first. This really seems like a match engine issue to me but I'm open for suggestions if people think I'm doing something wrong!
