    Proteas of the future

    Great strides have been made with ICC - I may have been silent for a few months, but I am still regularly playing. The preview of the first class competition is below, where Firdose Moonda sets out the players to watch out for:

    In more favourable conditions, batsmen should fine life easier in and 2013-14 Sunfoil series and South Africa will hope some Test batsman emerge


    I am glad to see that Rossouw, van Zyl, Beuran Hendricks, Lizaad Williams and Ayabulela Gqamane are mentioned as I have banged on about them loads!

      So Onions had a poor first game, but I expect him to improve as he has proven quality (I always wondered why he never got more England chances)?

      Van Zyl got 167, Beuran Hendricks took 9 for 75 in the match, and Dane Piedt looks like he might be good value for the step up to franchise, first class level.
