  • I'm back, but it's changed, what would you do?

So - I haven't played for a year or two, and I don't think my tactics work or If I'm just crap
    In tests/ country (England & Lancs )
    I usually pick 3 seamers & 1 spinner
At the start of the innings I bowl middle/off at top aggression,
Then I decrease the aggression slowly as they get more runs, I then may have a look at there
Preference and bowl opposite to that for 5 overs or so - and spinners like swann I usually keep
    Bowling on middle/off.
But the thing is, the other team are getting big scores, can anyone advise in what's good?
    Is this any good?
    What do you do?
Do the batsman preferences mean much?

If you could give me any advice I'd be grateful :-)

sometimes it's really just a case of fate, you can do everything right but you just can't get the wickets. Big scores will always pop up, I always think that the match is decided by my team sheet- you want your premier bowlers playing, a good spinner and a useful medium pacer who can bowl 5-10 overs

If you have time I'd scan these threads - think they appear to be the best in relation to limited over matches
