Regen types

I have played ICC 2012 with India upto the year 2034. I think the game does not generate regens who are openers cum all-rounders such as Dilshan or Watson for any of the nations. Nor does it generate format specific openers such as openers only for t20 format,etc. I think the developers had said that they are introducing new player types, but these new player types are valid only for the current crop of players.

I have one regen who is an opener in One Day and Twenty 20 but I agree, it doesn't happen enough.

I've currently got a great regen for first class games (average over 60) plus regular in all three England sides
But is classed as very defensive, but then it says he opens in all three formats of the game
He is so slow at T20 scoring rate, and never seems to get out (annoying when batting on 8 bars, and scores at 40 strike rate) I've dropped him from my side
He still opens though for England in T20, and plays them like tests!!! Madness from the England selectors there!!

up to the year 2058 with the windies and not one opening allrounder has been produced or a one day specialist opener
