Ive been playing this game for a few years now and Ive never bothered to ask what the "Chain" / "Shackel" thing is when batting... someone please explain it for me!

It is to lock the aggression level to both bowling ends.
If the "chain" is not broken and the aggression level is set to 3 bars the the batsman will bat the same against bowlers from both ends. But if the "chain" is broken the you can set separate aggression levels per end.
