I was wondering what does the letter (K) next to some of the overseas players' names mean?

It is for Kolpak players. A Kolpak player is a player from another country that plays and lives in England and is regarded as a "local" player

Oh I see ,so it is because of a court ruling regarding Maros Kolpak. So does that mean if I have an overseas player in my side for a number of years he will turn into kolpak player in icc2011?

No players cannot change to Kolpak nor are regenerated Kolpaks created in the game.
