I actually wouldn't call it a funny selection. While in my opinion Cummins should get some more Shield experience under his belt before playing test cricket, I have no doubt he can be a star player in the years ahead. I would be watching with great interest if I were you. If we kicks on from a superb start to state/international cricket then he could be playing for easily another 15 or so years. And also, Mickey Arthur has come out and said that he sees him as good enough to play, regardless of age.

This doesn't mean I'll be championing Hilditch and co if he does perform however, I'm glad we'll soon see the back of him.
