Apologies if my suggestions have been posted already

    1. t20/0di/test mode
    2. skip whole tours
    3. A team or lions team where you can select players and see how they do (doesnt necessary have to be playable)
    4. highly improved stats
things I would like to see in terms of stats

    for players :
    average batting 1st innings
    average batting second innings
series average (instead of current which can be 9 games)
    average at home
    average away
    average V opposition
    average per batting position

    bowlers exact same

Need to see overall averages, top wicket taker, highest runs, most centuries, most 10 and 5 wicket hauls, fastest 50, fast century to see how your players stack up against figures from cricketing history

Realism is the USP of ICC, if they take that away then they would lose their customer-base. I think ICC is by far the best cricket-game out there, only because it strives to be as realistic as possible, it's not perfect but still the best thing out there I feel.

Please don't change the Australian Domestic system, unless it is to allow you to pick uncontracted 2nd team players. It is realistic, what you should be aiming for.

I think it would be easier for the game developers to copy the English system for the Australian contracts so it could be implemented into ICC2011, thus making it possible to add other countries in 2012.

I have been playing as Tassie for 3 seasons and get the same players each year and the same crappy overseas players. I think the best way to increase sales is to make the game more attractive to non-UK gamers.

If you want the game to mirror real life there are way too many variables with Pakistan alone, you would need a patch every week to upgrade the player database and match fixtures. I think we all should realise this is a game not real life and it must remain feasible for the developers but attractive to the global market.

    cheers and happy gaming

Don't worry, mate, it happens, I also had a brain-fart in one of the stickies so.....

Australia has contracts but it's different to the english system and works like it does in game now essentially. In game you still get players changing states as in real life but it's not so much players being poached and having the choice of just offering players money. It's when they don't get selected or if they want to change teams and shop out a better offer they make themselves available and move to another state. I agree there should be some more functions added in inticing players to move state (especially uncontracted players) but it shouldn't be like the english system is.

    no contracts in aus domestic?

[QUOTE=Phylos Fett;14810]While the idea of making the Australian Domestic contracts does seem like a good idea, it doesn't accurately reflect the way that things are done, and the designers are looking to replicate things in RL.

Mark Cosgrove insists he is over the surprise and frustration at being sacked by South Australia and is ready for the next phase of his career in Tasmania. Cosgrove was shocked to be axed by the Redbacks after a season in which he was second only to Michael Klinger in their Sheffield Shield averages, with 511 runs at 42.58.

While he searched for a new state, he had a UK passport to fall back on if the need arose to switch allegiances. The lifeline from Tasmania came in the second round of state contract offers and Cosgrove said he was hoping to emulate his former South Australia team-mate Ryan Harris in lifting after changing states and going on to play for Australia

Yes, as I've mentioned in my earlier post, it takes away all the realism when you lose a wicket in a T20 or death-overs of an ODI & the new batsman just plays out a maiden, very unrealistic & annoying so an on/off "singles mode" or a separate aggression bar for singles will be a very useful addition to ODIs & T20s, it's not needed for Tests & FC games though.

    Duckworth/Lewis, kinda sorta

I approximate Duckworth/Lewis by assuming that any remaining wickets will be worth half of what the wickets have been worth so far, and that the current run rate will continue to the end.

For example, say you're chasing 274 in an ODI and you get to 216 for 5, 5 balls into the 42nd over, when play is abandoned due to...rain, light, plague of frogs, whatever.

Your wickets so far have been worth 216/5 = 43.2 runs each. The 5 wickets remaining are estimated at half this each ie. 21.6 This estimates you could have scored 21.6 x 5 = 108 + 216 = 324 before you were all out.

HOWEVER, your rpo so far is 216/41.83 = 5.164. At this rate you could only score 258 in 50 overs. So...you lose! By 16 runs.

Okay, it might need a bit of tweaking, but it's better than having to do without rain interruptions in all our one-dayers.

    I shall

Batsmen get a celebration highlight for 50's and 100's and so forth - how about a bowler celebration highlight for 5 wickets in an innings and 10 in a match? They do it in RL (some teams, like Australia, do at least) - a raised ball to the crowd.

In a similar vein, maybe some notifications of Career Milestones, akin to the ones we see for highest partnership, and highest score for a team, but on a player level. Things such as:

    *Multiples of 1000 runs scored
    *Multiples of 100 wickets taken
    *Multiples of 100 catches/dismissals taken
    *First 100 scored
    *First wicket
    *Beating historical milestones

Nothing major, some some nice cosmetic touches.

Mark Waugh used to do the same thing. And Shane Warne, when he was recovering from an injury to his bowling fingers, used to bowl a bit of medium pace for Victoria in the Australian Domestic Season, but I think they really justed wanted Warne back in the side for his charisma, and leadership ability.

Overthrows AND throws to the bowler's end AND throws to neither end backed up at cover - they are part of cricket: Please please put them in the game.

And I would also like to download stats. Transcribing them all by hand like I currently do is downright medieval. Plus my order of monks all claim to have better things to do!

There are a lot of 'quick' singles currently, but the fieldsmen, and especially their throws, are all so slow (AND to the keeper, even from mid-off/mid-on), that most RL suicide runs are fairly safe. Speaking of suicide, runouts regularly occur on hits straight to short midwicket - any schoolboy could see there's no run there.

As to fielding positions, I noted with approval a msg from the developers elsewhere that fielding ability is taken into account by the match engine. Kudos and much appreciated!

Not a biggie, but it would be nice to be able to rely on the default fields not to place someone with two left hands in a specialist catching position. Some of the default fields place the number '9' fieldsman at short leg, whereas this is usually the guy who IRL languishes at long-off or fine leg.

There's an impressive-looking trophy (with an impressive-sounding name!) in it for you if you implement these for 2011!
