Is this a management game only?

Excuse my ignorance. I know it's a management game, but I can see the games can be rendered for you. Do you have the option of actually controlling any players or do you just watch and coach?

just watch and coach but it is still very interesting and enthralling but for some people its just not for them.

Basically on match day you instruct your players on a number of things, set fields and bowling plans right to the finest details in an effort to get the most out of your players.
