well after seeing GrahamB's terrific series report ive decided to embark on a quest quite similar to that on my own instead this time with South Africa.

So as you can see i have stuck with experience over youth hoping that the old heads can guide me home in a pressure situation.

Well what can i say about that we put in a dismal effort probably because of lack of match practice (tour match would hav helped) but no excuses changes have to be made.Comment

So the selectors realised there blunder in going for youth over experience and have now decide to blood some new youngsters hoping to help SAfrica win not only now but in the future aswell.

RESULT: India beat SAfrica by 195 runs
So how did the debutants go?:
C Pietersen: took 1-119 before straining his back and missing out on the rest of the game.
V Van Jaarsveld: Made 19 and 13 and even bowled some part time mediums with no success.
Q Friend: took 1-83 twice and followed it up with some handy lower order hitting by striking 29 in just over an hour.
A terrible week of cricket by SAfrica has put the team under scrutiny ahead of the third testand the selectors are going to have to make some even bigger changes.Comment
