If a loan is set to be made permanent then we can move them.

Two minor Yorkshire amendments: I think Tattersall scores quicker than V Def in first class, maybe defensive or probably average aggression. And Luxton should be aggressive in t20 and one day cricket

For Sussex: Bertie Foreman should be an all-rounder and bowl OS.

        The overseas players need updating...

Can't see anything that says Shadab Khan has signed this year. The squad should also include Dan Hughes and Jayden Seales.

Stanley McAlindon should potentially be back as an all-rounder Typically bats at 9 or 10.
Luc Benkenstein should be down as either an all-format or a limited overs opener, having opened in the RLODC last year as well as having previously opened in the PJL T20s in Pakistan (and batting at 3 for Essex 2nd XI). He's also been opening for the 2nd XI in some FC's too although not all the matches.
Jordan Cox should potentially be changed to an occasional keeper He keeps an awful lot, occasional keepers in game are pretty terrible with the gloves.
Tom Bevan should be changed to defensive or average aggression in FC's until he's played more matches considering he had a strike rate of 55 in the Minor Counties, and he should also be changed from defensive to average aggression if not aggressive in LOs considering the small sample size of his T20s (including 2 matches out of position) contrasted to a strike rate of 143.58 in the Minor Counties T20s, while he also has a strike rate of 94.78 from 8 LA matches.
Kiran Carlson should be a T20 Opener
Sam Northeast should be a white ball opener, having opened in the 50 overs last season & the T20s for the past 2 seasons.
Zaman Akhter should probably be a RMF
John Turner could potentially be changed to a RF
Jaydn Denly should potentially be a white ball opener if not an all-format one (having opened regularly in the 2nd XI as well as for England U19s - where he had a strike rate of 81 in the U19 Tests)
Fred Klaassen has been ruled out of the WC with injury
Stephen Croft is on a T20 contract only as he is now mainly coaching
Nathan Fernandes should be changed to defensive or average aggression in FC's, as he is currently striking at 49.08 in his first season with an average of 35.77
Ashton Agar has signed with Northants to play a few T20s when Sikandar Raza is away on international duty
Matt Carter has now left Notts. A bit of a shame really considering he is a very good T20 bowler and had potential in the other formats too.
Archie Vaughan has signed a contract with Somerset
Laurie Evans apparently kept in the PSL so should be down as an occasional keeper
Dan Lawrence should be down as a T20 Opener, having done so for Essex in his last few years in addition to regularly bowling
Jamie Overton is out injured for the season with a stress fracture in his back
Tom Alsop could potentially be down as an occasional keeper rather than a full one, having been in the Hampshire & Sussex sides for his batting for most of his career, and rarely being called upon for his keeping.
John Simpson looks to still be very underrated as a keeper, as he should be automatically in the XI considering he's their captain
Jofra Archer didn't play any games this year until the 25th May so he could be ruled out or rested for a few weeks otherwise he'll be playing all the red ball matches beforehand in CC24
Harry Darley is missing. On a rookie deal this year. Bowled really well in a T20 vs New Zealand last year & took 2-20 (economy rate of 6.66 for Worcs, with the next best being 8.00), was unlucky to not get another few more wickets as well that day.

Ben Duckett doesn't open in T20s, usually batting around 3/4/5 in the format since joining Nottinghamshire.

Chappell should probably be agg or v agg in both formats.

Amir can be removed from Derbs. Won't be coming.

              Guest avg agg.

David Lloyd bowling off spin this season.

Wagstaff bowls very handy legspin, selected in the t20 side and bowling 4 overs so perhaps a very handy part timer or maybe all rounder?

Ben Charlesworth has averaged 62 at a s/r of 49 this season and played 6/7 games for Glos with 2 50s and 1 ton.
Seems rubbish in game and crippled by very def s/r. Could be improved and go to def.

Joe Phillips should be avg agg in both formats.

[QUOTE=GodsenddnesdoG;n82506]Warwks are missing Norwell, Miles and Michael Rae as reserve overseas. Booth is technically on an overseas contract until he qualifies for England too. Rob Yates' SR has been much higher the last year or two. Gleeson is T20 only, Garton is white ball only and can be drafted in for red ball if needs be but hasn't played 2XI or been considered even with the injury crisis so might make sense to have him as white ball only.[/QUOTE

Che Simmonds also missing, and George Maddy (kept wkt in last year's one-day cup) Seems to be playing seconds for quite a few different teams? and as noted above, Amir Khan.

Hampshire (some of these may have already been mentioned, sorry if this is the case)
                  • Gubbins' FC strike rates are down significantly the last two years (42.57 in 2023, 43.84 in 2024), so could be V.Def. Not sure what the thresholds are.
                  • Organ and Holland are way down the pecking order in terms of openers with Orr joining, neither should be openers in any format anymore. Organ has always opened in FC, he might not be first pick but he's still an FC opener. Same for Holland.
                  • Vince's FC S/Rs are also down (62.47 in 2023, 51.21 in 2024), so maybe only Agg instead of V.Agg. His T20 SRs in the last two seasons are 140+, so maybe V.Agg?
                  • Brown has an average S/R of 53.50 since 2022, should probably be Avg rather than Agg. Also doesn't play T20 so should be retired if not already.
                  • Dawson's SRs since 2022 (55.27, 55.59, 56.65) suggests Avg rather than Def in FC.
                  • Howell is only on a white-ball contract, doesn't play FC. Retired from FC.
                  • Neser is available for FC as well as T20 (can you have three main overseas?)
                  • Jack should be RMF.
                  • I saw a previous comment saying Turner should be RF, I reckon RMF is about right. He's also not centrally contracted. Also missed the first few weeks of the season through injury, was playing 2nds by early May. He has a development contract with England, I think RF is fair from what I've seen. .
                  • Wood is retired from FC.
                  • Scott Currie and Mason Crane missing- both currently on loan but at the moment set to return at the end of the season.
                  • In CC23, Holland had English nationality and was being picked for the national side - he has represented USA and has a UK passport
                  • Weatherley should be a FC-only opener, bats 4/5 in white-ball. Same for Albert, although he has opened in T20 in the past, but not recently. Maybe FC and T20 opener if that can be done? He's currently FC and OD, we don't have FC and 20 over.
                  • Barker hasn't batted much for Hampshire in List A, but has a SR of 98.75, should be Avg or Agg. He also missed the first five games of the season through injury.
                  • McDermott's T20 SR for Hampshire is 144.91, maybe V.Agg but not sure on his BBL SRs
                  • Ottniel Baartman (T20 overseas) is missing.
                  • Abbott and Abbas both play only FC, should be retired from List A and T20. Abbas played 20 over in Pakistan in the winter. I've retired Abbott from LA/20 over
                  • Albert and Orr shouldn't be wicketkeepers, probably not even part-time for either.
                  • Eckland's List A SR is over 100, admittedly a very small sample size but maybe Avg rather than Def?

Riley Meredith signed for Somerset - essentially as T20 only. James Rew should be avg aggression in FC, and Umeed moved up to Def. Renshaw also up to Avg.

Dean Elgar has a British passport and is not an overseas player for Essex. See Essex in the T20 Blast with Elgar, Simon Harmer and Daniel Sams all playing.

Already been mentioned and changed but i think worth adding. Tom Aspinwall, its a small sample size but perhaps deserves a little boost. Been one of Lancs best bowlers this year and in the game is the worst by some distance.

                          Warwickshire Squad updates:
Michael Booth is currently playing as an overseas player
Ed Barnard is an opener in OD cricket
