As many of you know, Cricket Captain 2024’s latest patch removed real player names due to legal issues — but the community has stepped up to help fix this.

Quick Name Fix Summary:

✅ Download the .txt name file from the community

✅ Drop it into your save folder:

• Standard path:
  
  C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Childish Things\Cricket Captain 2024\Saves
• Dropbox path if you’ve enabled sync:
  
  C:\Users\YourName\Dropbox\Childish Things\cricket captain 2024\saves

✅ Launch the game — real names will now appear automatically across all saves.

I havn't tried it on mopbile but the dev's have confirmed that it does work in the same way

A legal argument which has been used in a slightly different contex is if the names are in WISDEN they have no copyright. This might mean CC being one year behind but it could be worth exploring.
