Hi there,
Been an on and off player of the game (Had the 06 Marcus Trescothick Game and then the 2009 version before dabbling with 17 and 20) before curiosity got the better of me and I had to pick this game back up. I've found myself in previous years of gaming falling hopelessly into the world of stats (Football Manager, Madden (College Football if I had an Xbox) and Pro Cycling Manager) and seeing this game is still going 18 years after the first version of the game I played, I thought about dabbling into creating something fun for this game.
This leads me to my idea. I was hoping to simulate each available league in the game and document what this game can do over a long period of time, documenting the rises and falls of players and nations. However, I have an oversight. On game start, I discovered quickly that the data you can see is region locked to where your selected team is. (England can only see Internationals and the English Domestic League).
Now I can go and spend an absurd amount of time picking through results by individual player performances, because it is clear that the game still simulates all those matches in one way or another, just that in the game itself, there is no way to see that. By no means am I asking for a fix to this issue as it would be more than a quick hotfix for one person, but without having to trawl through database software to understand where the data is kept and how it is stored, is there a way for me to put this together without a very painful bit of work trying to backend entire leagues from player batting and bowling data?
Would appreciate a bit of help on this subject and would love to massively dive into this game more but everything seems a little restrictive currently, and I'm sure this would help players in the future to have more leagues viewable to help select international players for teams by looking at their impact in other leagues.
