  • Cricket Captain 2024...just 2023 with a new last number?

This game is frustrating...in that the same problems just dont get fixed from version to version.

    The things that get on my nerves in particular, in no order are;

    - Bowlers not getting a stamina boost with a wicket.
    - Batters confidence always starting from zero REGARDLESS of form or their score or how they have played.
    - Confidence only ever going in one direction (upwards).
    - Too many byes being allowed through by the keeper.
    - Bowlers being forced to stop bowling because they have no stamina...with ONE over left in the day. Ok, a small one BUUUUUT I dont know any bowler on the face of the planet who wouldn't bowl that last over?!?
    - Its virtually impossible to score quickly in 20/20 or one dayers without your batters getting out pretty much immediately.

So...does anyone know what has actually been improved from the last version of the game?

Okay but cant bowl 10 overs straight with a bowler and then still bowl him the last over . ? Does make sense right ?
If you want tips how to play the t20 mode join the Facebook group international cricket captain Yorkie will assist there .

There are improvements like i seen like the aggressive scores dropped a bit .
byes is a keep improvement thing i do t get that many byes ao far .

Batter confidence i can agree on but it doesn't drop that far after each season but a day drop is understandable because its a new day

Actually the only improvement is the fact that indian players doesn't play t20 leagues and the honors board and the prediction

Im talking about first class games, not one day matches. Its just annoying that it forces a hard stop on a bowler when I know of no bowler in the history of the game who wouldn't bowl that one last over, especially if they have just taken a wicket and have a new batter to bowl to.

Also the rate of injury to a bowler seems well over stated as well...plus its annoying that an injured bowler is not only ALWAYS out of the rest of the match but the entire series too. Needs to be a little more nuanced in dealing with injuries.

I find you need to manage you fast bowlers a lot to prevent injuries. It seems that if they have low energy, they are more likely to get injured in between matches. Even in real life, it's becoming rare that a fast bowler plays several games in a row without being 'monitored for soreness'.

The overall injury rate for 5 Test series seems about right as I mostly play ATG ahistorical series (1970s South Africa v West Indies etc). Maybe not in the way that they did occur (Jeff Thomson & Jason Gillespie running into fielders for example). But there aren't many 5 Test series where a side kept both stars avaliable.

I honestly don't think any of the things you have listed are issues outside of T20/OD batting which is very difficult and relies too heavily on a batsman being set.
