AUSTRALIA KNOCKED OUT AFTER HARDIK 5 WICKET HAUL

    Australia 226 (T. Head 55, H. Pandya 5-34) lost to India 227-5 (S. Iyer 73, KL. Rahul 60, A. Zampa 3-37) by 5 wickets

The team expected to make the semis and have the best net-run-rate has been eliminated following a batting collapse against India. India now have to win one of their last 2 matches to make the semis.

SOUTH AFRICA KEEP HOPES ALIVE AFTER THRASHING ZIMBABWE

    Zimbabwe 192 (D. Myers 29, G. Coetzee 3-24, M. Jansen 3-53) lost to South Africa 193-4 (A. Markram 60, T. Bavuma 60*) by 6 wickets

Zimbabwe's poor world cup continued with yet another horrific batting performance. On the other hand, South Africa have got a decent chance of making the semis. Should they get there, their powerful batting lineup including Bavuma, van der Dussen and de Kock will prove handy.
