The Ultimate Cricket Tournament
Welcome into the Ultimate Cricket Tournament. I'm sure you're wondering what the format is, the rules are, and how everything will work. So here's a basic rundown.
Teams and Format
Every single nation in Cricket Captain 2023 - from Australia to Papua New Guinea - will take part in an Test Match tournament.
Prior to the tournament starting, I will split all teams into 5 groups - 4 teams per group - depending on their Test Match ranking. The best teams will be apart of the best group, and so on.
After every team has played each other once in their group, the best scoring team (I have devised a point system to rank teams on) will be promoted a group, and the worst team will fall down into their place.
The Groups
Diamond Group - India, Australia, England, South Africa
Platinum Group - New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies
Gold Group - Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Ireland
Silver Group - Scotland, Netherlands, Nepal, Oman
Bronze Group - UAE, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, Hong Kong
Scoring System
Win by an innings - 20 points
Win - 15 points
Tie - 7 points
Draw - 4 points
Loss - 0 points
Loss with first innings lead - 2 points
500+ runs (1st Innings) - 2 points

No stats will be tracked this tournament, just a bit of fun.
