  • Rebuilding West Indian Cricket

In the 2016 T20 World Cup, Carlos Brathwaite hit 4 sixes off of Ben Stokes, winning the West Indies their 2nd T20 World Cup. However, since then they have had a massive drop off. Recently they were knocked out of the 2023 ODI World Cup qualifier by Scotland, and now have some big questions facing them.

So, what has happened to West Indian Cricket? Why have they become a laughing stock among other cricketing powerhouses such as India and Australia. This rebuild will hope to restore them to their former glory.

    Season 1 Tours

    2 Tests, 3 ODI's and 5 T20I's v India (Home)
    3 ODI's and 5 T20I's v England (Home)
    2 Tests, 3 ODI's and 3 T20I's v Australia (Away)
    2 Tests and 3 T20I's v Pakistan (Away)

Our rebuild begins with a big series against India. Can we pull off some upsets against the best ranked Test team in the world?

ID:	81525 What a match! A 24 run stand for the 10th wicket between McAllister and Joseph got us home in a Test for the ages. Pretty much everyone impressed me, and I must say I did not expect to win a Test against India!

ID:	81537 A series win against one of the best Test teams on the planet! This time we batted first and made a strong total, thanks to Brathwaite's 92. Then, our bowlers took a strangle hold on the Indian batters, McAllister and Joseph leading the charge. A 159 run opening stand set up our 2nd innings, before we declared and bowled them out for under 300 for the 3rd time this series.

            MVP of the series
A tough call, but Chanderpaul just edges out Brathwaite and Joseph. He always passed 31 in all 4 of his innings, and was a rock at the top of the order.
