Middle order batsmen to opener

Yes that is the aim of using ‘Opener‘ training, as to how long it takes is questionable. And I suppose that is relevant to the player being asked to retrain, and their skill parameters?

Some players perform very well as openers (without being openers) as it were.
Ive had a decent spell upto now using Sam Hain as an England opener.
I get the irritation about the ‘O’ although it doesn’t really bother me or seem to effect their performance..

If you use the opener training on a middle order batsmen will he eventually get the openers O next to his name.

I’ve been using Alsop at Hampshire as an opener with success but it irrationally annoys me he doesn’t have the O there.
