Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is anything being done for the way the AI select bowlers, specifically in limited overs? FC is generally okay, besides the random batsman coming on first change, but limited overs is generally poor imo. A lot of times in both 50 over and t20 games the AI rarely uses a 6th bowler, and the opening bowlers will also a lot of the time bowl out 7+ overs each to start the innings, even if they are being smacked around.

Was the same in the previous edition, but thought it may have been worked on for the new release. Loving it regardless. Thanks.

Very soon, we're working on it now. Chris is just knee deep in some code right now, I've put together all feedback from here now, so the next db update will be a good one. Thanks all.

Appreciate the great work you guys are doing. Will provide some feedback myself when I find time, but do you know when these changes will be released in a new database?

Showing for me, have you got OD or 20 over selected as the filter? They are the only formats he has played.

I agree on Chahal. Only played one full IPL season with him but he was very underrated. Could do with an ability boost.

Doesn't look awful, by any stretch, but have improved him.

I appreciate that. But it seems that every roster is filled with young players who are destined for the scrapheap.

I would rather that we assume, since they are on a professional roster, that they play quality cricket and deserve to be there. I have long been in favor of significantly upskilling every poorly rated young player on the game.

This way who makes it to international cricket will vary a lot more and we will have less real life players thrown out in favour of regens, who invariably swamp the game after a few seasons.
I appreciate your feedback, I've had some ideas myself on this that I'd like to chat with Chris about. As of right now, we're working on getting the other platforms ready for release/submission.

There's some good fixes gone in last day or two (including for batting position related issues), so a new Steam build is due in the next day or so. Once all platforms are out I will chat with Chris on our next bits including youth players, see what we can do with what we have and what we can do for 2020 with new data. There are some plans for future CC19 work in the way.

Yes, ignore my edit. The site signed me out so the version of notes I restored was an old one. I've added Amir as their 20 over overseas.

Apologies if you guys are getting posts sent for approval, this is an automated thing. I'm approving as and when I see them.

Ok because in my Pakistan CWC19 series I have run into other weird squad issues too.

For example the Indian team bats Dhoni@7 and has Washington Sundar as a starter, with no Chahal in the squad. I know that Chahal was significantly underrated in CC18 so perhaps could use a boost?

The NZ AI CWC19 team used this top 6 against me:
    1.Latham
    2.Guptill
    3.Munro
    4.Nicholls
    5.Williamson
    6.Taylor

I have noticed that there is some type of inbuilt AI team selection rule, whereby a third opener will bat at three. While this is reasonable, could it perhaps be altered so that specialist #3's take precedence over them?

The other AI team selection rule, from CC18 and appears to be in CC19, is that bowling allrounders and bowlers who can bat are often picked to bat at #4 in limited overs matches ahead of better quality players This is strange and random and may be due to an oversight.

Also, if you watch how the first innings of my Pakistan v India WC match played out, the AI bowler ordering in one dayers is not great at all. This needs to be altered, although I suspect it is too complicated to do at this point. My proposed fix is creating a rule that the AI must include six reasonably skilled bowlers in ODI/T20 matches rather than five. This would also reflect real life selection policy. I would also like this to be applied to Test matches, by making the AI pick either four specialist bowlers or three and two allrounders. From what I understand you don't have rules regarding allrounders though so this may not be feasible.
