SECOND ODI v ENGLAND IN ENGLAND - CARDIFF
England XI:
J BAIRSTOW
A HALES
J ROY
J ROOT
B STOKES
E MORGAN
J BUTTLER
C WOAKES
A RASHID
L PLUNKETT
D BESS
(Dom Bess in for David Willey)
Australia XI:
D SHORT
A FINCH
T HEAD
S MARSH
M STOINIS
G MAXWELL
A CAREY
A AGAR
K RICHARDSON
A TYE
B STANLAKE
Notable moments -
> Australia win the toss and send England in to bat.
> Bowlers kept things very tight early, but without much luck. England managed to sneak a couple of 18+ run overs in at the back end. Overall quite happy with the bowling performance.
> Shaun Marsh stood tall as wickets fell around him, making his fifty off 58 balls.
> Ashton Agar gave us a late chance taking it to the last over, but pushed a bit too hard and fell.
> In much the same way as us with the ball, the English restricted run scoring really hard and Dom Bess on debut benefitted the most. Just couldn?t get a major partnership going.
Five match series tied 1 - 1.

Notable moments -
> Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first.
> Absolutely fantastic with the ball, kept it so tight throughout. Maxwell pinning Alex Hales played a pivotal role in keeping the total under 200. Richardson outstanding.
> D?Arcy Short dropped on 0. Could be costly.
> Aaron Finch races to fifty off just 49 deliveries.
> Shaun Marsh leaves Aaron Finch stranded on 99*, hitting a boundary to win the game. I don?t believe it. Shaun Marsh striking at 164.30.
Australia lead the five match series 2 - 1.

Have you thought about moving maxwell up to 3 and moving head down?
I intend on rotating once the series has been won if that makes sense. Whether it be one or two games will depend on how good the first team have been on a series by series basis, but I am keen to get Chris Lynn and Jhye Richardson into the side. Although looking at my seam bowlers this series, dropping one will be a harsh act. In short, kinda.
I don't imagine you'll see Maxwell bat at three under my reign, I'd say the only way that happens is if our openers put on 250 and I'm looking for a laugh. He'll be staying in that lower order type role.

> Shaun Marsh makes another ODI fifty, this time off 48 balls.
> Shaun Marsh posts a stellar hundred off 108 deliveries.

Im interested to see if you persist with Travis Head for the next odi series after his poor performances. Would love to see Lynn given a go for the next series.
