  • Retired Hurt

    Is it just me or is the amount of people that retire hurt way over the top, in nearly every 2nd game I either have someone retire hurt, or an opposition player retires hurt.

    Not only this, but even if they are out for 4 weeks or so, they should still be able to come back in and bat lower down the order.
    Perfect examples of this happening are;
    Graeme Smith when Mitchell Johnson broke his arm in Sydney
    or more recent Steve O'Keefe when he did his hamstring and still batted for a few hours trying to save the draw.
    This if highly frustrating especially when there is a close game, and you know you could have won if you were able to have your "retired hurt" player just hold up an end when you have a batsmen who is making runs and finishes on 135* and we fall 10 runs short.

      I've had one injury in a full season of cricket, and it was Nathan Lyon on day one of a tour of India, would you believe. It's just luck based lad, if anything I'd argue the opposite.

      (I still won that series, but I'm the king so ye.)
