Sharing the Same Purchase Between Different Apple Products

Hi, I purchased ICC 2014 for my MacBook last month and yesterday, I purchased ICC 2015 for my iPad. Was just wondering that if I ever want to play ICC 2014 on my iPad or ICC 2015 on the MacBook, would it be possible? I purchased both of them through the same App Store account.

Or do I have to purchase the same game separately for each device?

They're separate purchases. The iPad version will also work on iPhone with the same purchase, but Mac will be different.
