bought this game from steam, now says I need open gl 2.0 or above

where / how do I get this?

There may be some stuff related to your problem in there, although I can't guarantee it

You need to update your graphics drivers. There's information on how to do this on our support pages:

Go to http://www.opengl.org/wiki/Getting_Started#Windows and follow the instructions given to download the graphics driver you need. It shouldn't take too long.
