Problem

Just had a "patch" via steam and now the game won't launch. I get a Fatal error "Steam not initialised. The Steam Client must be open to play game.". I'm looking at the open steam as I type this!!

Looks like a steam problem as non of my steam games will start.

Seems to be working fine for me. I'd suggest turning it off and on again.

Sounds like the Steam process didn't initialise properly in the first instance (I've had Steam updates on my machines today).

What i suspect happened is that you left Steam for a bit, tried it again and it sorted itself out?

Normally issues like this, Restart Steam, if that doesn't work, if you find Steam.exe in Windows Task Manager - Processes (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and end the process, it will initialise properly the next time. Turning it off and on again, essentially.
