Any thoughts on this Sureshot ? I'm happy to help with the player details etc.

Thanks Sureshot. Please could Nick Welch (Zimbabe (Kolpak)) be added to the uncontracted list at the start of the season as well given Surrey seem to have released him. He had a trial at Leicestershire at the tail end of last season and I know he's not going back to Zimbabwe so could be worth a look by other counties.

I've changed him to Zim Kolpak and made him available.

Gee, still the problem playing with someone like Surrey in the County and having half your squad (best players) away on international duty.

I've noted that Adrian Neill is in the game having seen him picked for Scotland. In real life he's part of Gloucestershire's 'academy plus' so should seem to make sense to move him to the county.

    Done

also is it possible to get Chris Sole and Mark Watt added to the free agents list at the start of the game?

    Done

Cameron Steel at Durham was also recently called up for the USA.

This is more awkward, I think we're going to have to leave this for now.

I know there has been some talk over Labuschagne getting wickets in Div 2 but I believe he is an all rounder, in the game he doesn't bowl as many overs as he should. It ruins playing as Australia for me.

Oli Soames of Hampshire appears to be rated too highly - has increased his average from 10 to 34 in two seasons, scoring over 1000 FC runs in each and 8 hundreds, 7 fifties. Seems to be in the top two openers at Hampshire as he opens in every save I've done so far this year.

Felix Organ and Ian Holland should be the best two openers; in real life Soames is much further down the pecking order, at least below Joe Weatherley.

Thanks, I've nerfed Soames a bit. I've also improved Organ.

Some notes from my Zimbabwean career so far (2 separate saves, about 3 seasons in total have been played)

Craig Ervine's batting is a bit overrated. As much as I like him he has struggled against quality bowling in the past and isn't good enough to average 50+ in ODIs against full-members. Have nerfed him a bit, but his ability isn't suggesting a 50+ average against full-members.
Wesley Madhevere is significantly underrated. He is Zimbabwe's best young player, and is an allrounder rather than a second-rate batsman. His batting and bowling both need a significant boost. Have improved.
Ryan Burl's bowling is underrated. He has become an allrounder for Zimbabwe, and should not just be considered as a batsman. He was also regularly bowling in the last BPL. Changed to all-rounder and improved.
Brendan Taylor's batting is underrated, he is still Zimbabwe's best batsman IRL but is pretty mediocre in game. He should also be a full-time keeper as he regularly keeps domestically and internationally (though he is solid rather than amazing). Improved and changed to full-time.
Ryan Murray's batting is a bit underrated, I would understand if you don't change this however as he has not played many first class games. Right now, don't feel I can upgrade him.
Sikandar Raza's bowling is very underrated in tests, he took a 7-for against Sri Lanka in the last test he played and has improved massively (his overall stats aren't great as he started as a batsman who bowled a bit) Have improved his bowling.
Donald Tiripano's batting in tests is underrated. He averages 25 in FC, and 20 in tests IRL, but is a bit of a bunny in-game. He isn't quite an allrounder in real life, but he is close. His batting ability is fine and fits in with a bowler who can bat but isn't quite an all-rounder, perhaps just in some bad form for you.
Kyle Jarvis's bowling is a bit overrated in ODIs. He consistently starred against everybody and averaged about 17 in ODIs across 2 separate saved games. He is good, but not quite that good. Slightly nerfed.

Maybe being able to ask players to come out of retirement might be a a cool feature?

Players keep retiring too early, Moeen Ali retired in 2021 just before the Bangladesh series. Can this be fixed?

In real life, he is the most talented young player in Zimbabwe team. Beside having really good stats in U-19 level he also made a really good start of his international career . He scored 120 runs in 3 match ODI series against Bangladesh in Bangladesh, also took some wickets if I'm not wrong . Being just 19 years of old, he did better than players like B Taylor or S Raza in sub-continent conditions. He should have the potential to lead Zimbabwe in future .
Zimbabwe need all the help they can get.

Just played against Lancashire in the County Championship, I found it a bit odd that Keaton Jennings has a strong pace bowling preference? He’s looked a lot more comfortable against spin, in his international career at least. England seem to see him as a bit of a ‘sub-continent specialist’ now as both his Test hundreds have come in Asia and he was widely expected to come into the team in Sri Lanka in March due to his prowess against spin. I don’t know too much about his domestic record though.

Apologies if this has been discussed before, I couldn’t find it anywhere.

    Good point, changed.
