I have tried almost all types of bowling and field setting strategies for effective play in one-day and FC matches..and possibly the defensive field - off stump theory does work well in one-days. However, I am wondering if anybody ever use the Leg Theory consistently, with a 2-7 field with 3 catchers, bowling from the same side as the batsman? Read somewhere that the leg theory does constrict and strangulate batsman runs, and when they get impatient, may get a wicket or two. The downside is that LBW is rarer. I wonder if this tactic may work well in county and test matches.
