I don't want to see IPL in Cricket Captain games . Lets see why-

Teams play at IPL are not real . If we look at Somerset and Kolkata Knight Riders. We'll see the Difference . Somerset is a club plays all versions of Cricket- First Class , One Day and T20 . We can say Somerset is a real Cricket Club . But Kolkata , Mumbai Indians or any other IPL teams never play First Class or One Day games .

Yes there is a Mumbai plays in Ranji Trophy . But Ranji trophy "Mumbai" and IPL's "Mumbai Indians" is not the same . Different owners , different players , different teams .

I suggest Ranji Trophy instead of IPL . Real domestic teams of India play at Ranji Trophy not IPL .

IPL - International Premier League

It goes against the realism that the ICC game wants to capture, however. But maybe that is not a bad thing in this case. Realism already falls down/isn't attempted in several areas of the game as it is.

An IPL league wouldn't really do much for me. I'm not Indian, and I don't have any (real) interest in the real IPL. All the franchises and cities are just names to me. The only reason I keep an eye on the (real) IPL is to see how the Sri Lankan players are doing.

Not always, though - if you lose wickets quickly, you need to tone the aggression down to make sure you play out all 20 overs.

Of course, then your batsmen play like it's a timeless Test.

As one of the administrators here says, it's tactics - which is one reason I do like the Twenty20 format.
