i know this is probably not a feature for this game but the ability to control just the one player and improve him (i.e be a pro in fifa)
also love the idea of having scouts

What We Would Like In ICC2011

I can see here that the developers were thinking about putting in the real-life-like contracts-system even before ICC2010 but I wonder why it wasn't done!
I think this is a decent suggestion by Themer. I think there must be two different types of contracts as there are in real life. Further, I think only 1-year contracts should be issued so that they can easily be rotated rather than getting stuck on some players even though they mightn't be playing for England as is often the case in the current version.
Another thing is that those players who are going to be playing in the "Overseas League", they shouldn't be demanding the kind of salaries that they would had they actually been available for the whole season.Last edited by enigma; 03-19-2011, 09:01 PM.

With interacting with players,
i'd like to see something like a news page for each team which had little bits on what pllayers are thinking. It may have "david warner wants to play more fc cricket" "so and so wants to bat higher up the order". These would also link in at the end of seasons if we were allowed to poach players from other clubs, with the disgruntled players showing up in these news feeds being more likely to agree to a buyout from their club if they are not getting the games/playing in positons their happy with. Should allow you to get them cheaper when their looking to drop their club if it hasn't improved on their demands.

This is my first time on this forum and I have given this quite a bit of thought. In my opinion there are a couple of simple (I'd imagine) things that would improve my enjoyment of the game.
1) Being able to train a batsman up to bat in a specific position eg training Ian Bell up as an opening batsman.
2) Players to be able to have different roles depending on the form of the game eg Tendulkar is a one day opener but a middle order batsman in Test matches.
3) Players to be able to be an all rounder and an opening batsman eg Shane Watson
And finally some harder ones to implement
4) Being able to interact with your players begin matches so you could tell a player to buck his ideas up if he wants to stay in the team or put an arm around his shoulder depending on the player. And to tell a player he is dropped and what he needs to do to get back in the team eg learn how to score at a quicker strike rate or to increase his accuracy with the ball
5) Choosing who gets a central contract
6) Scouts to look at the county scene and recommend players who are looking good and players who are struggling

Secondly, I don't know if this has been discussed before but why not let us see the fixtures for the next year on the Transfers Window itself? I know there is the "Full Season" column but often some Overseas players will say Yes because they're not contracted to their national sides & then they're selected by their country all of a sudden & then sometimes we've to do without both the Main as well as the Reserve for a month or two; it is really annoying. But if the fixture-list is made available on the Transfers Window itself then we can choose our Main & Reserve taking into account their country's matches & the likelihood of them getting selected, of course, fixture-list should also clarify about when they'll be playing the "Overseas League"; "Full Season" column could still be retained though for those who don't want to take the time to look up fixtures.Last edited by enigma; 03-14-2011, 04:19 PM.

Great! Now there'll be a few more boring Test-series & more mockery of Test-records. They say Test-Cricket is in danger, well, the biggest danger to Test-Cricket is ICC, their stupid FTP that adds unnecessary, uncompetitive & boring Tests & their decisions of giving Test-status to Ban & Zim, these guys should be playing 4-Day-Cricket against stronger Test-nations' A-Teams & when they start beating the A-Teams regularly, THEN they should get Test-status. While they're at it why don't ICC give Test-status to all the associates & affiliates too!Last edited by enigma; 03-13-2011, 10:34 AM.

You know, I can't believe I forgot to mention this, but at the toss, you, as the player, get to call every single time. Every single time! That can't be right. I mean, I assume there's a 50/50 randomizer thingie in the game to make the result of the toss truly equal, but the computer should get the right to call the toss at least half the time.Last edited by Machinax; 03-13-2011, 08:28 AM.

As long as nothing changes and Zimbabwe are going to be playing by the end of the year I'd fully expect it to be returned to being playable.

it would be great if zimbabwe will be playable again. They're returning to test cricket this year: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...we/9406807.stm

He'll beat the best batsmen in the world, but you risk illegal deliveries and free hits if you use him.
Anyways, I don't like this current thing of everyone bowling no-balls in the game; I've ended up taking some wickets on no-balls on a fair few occasions as well, that's really annoying, especially on a flat-pitch & when you really need wickets.Last edited by enigma; 03-11-2011, 03:40 PM.

The rules of the domestic comps in the game will always reflect real life. There's a real life financial reason for the one player overseas limit, I'm getting an inkling of the two overseas T20 players being reduced for 2012 domestic season from ECB (as 2011 is identical to 2010).
Some good suggestions guys, some very in depth suggestions, Phylos...
