Plus if you have a new intel Mac then you do have the opportunity to install microspunges OS on it.
Also can we see more in-depth statistics e.g. seeing a players stats since he joined your club, i want to see this as countless times i have signed people who have had moderate records but have vastly improved under me but i can't see a true reflection of how they've played for me.

Changes In Form
What I noticed quite interestingly is after 1 April of every year, the form and confidence of all players reset (except for a few new regens). I was playing the 2011 World Cup, playing as Australia, and went through undefeated and won the Cup. I had 6 players who all had 100% confidence, both match and training. The World Cup finished on the 27th March.
The West Indies tour started on 2nd April, and all of a sudden everyone was on middle form and confidence, and consequently the players who were in sublime form just a week ago, struggled a lot more than they should. I think this should be rectified, especially if the Australian Domestic Competition gets added to the game, and the concept of contract renewals on a specific date should be modified. I can understand the need for this, but maybe update contracts and don't change form and confidence.

Any chance we can get a pitch map of a bowler for the whole match? To see how accurate he is.

Addition of bowling speed will be a major new exciting feature as it will give player a thrust to increase the speed of his new 18 y/o regen whose bowling in the early 80mph to some like 90mph+ ,Now that would be so cool.

Cricket Captain on the Mac
I'm a big fan of the series and I recently got a Macbook so now I can't play it!!!

ICC 09 suggestions
I've read most of the suggestions above and have come up with some thoughts of my own.
1) Definatley have a record of retired players, I had a player who scored 40,000+ first class runs but no record of him.
2) With International matches have stats for series by series as well as year by year because a player could do an Ian Bell of 2005, score a large hundred against weak oppostion then play a team like Aus, not score more than 20 and still have a good batting average afterwards.
3) When selecting squads to tours etc have a tab of current selection and not a list of names as in ICC 2008.
4) Have some control over club finances eg. stadium development etc and change the basic sum each county gets depending on success, ie more successful team, attracts bigger crowds therefore more money.
5) The ability to declare during session intervals without losing time, it gets very irritating losing 15 mins at start of session just to declare.
6) When an opening batsman or keeper gets injured the computer automatically picks a replacement, since it's a mangagement game surely the manager / captain shoud choose the replacement.
7) For overseas players include the likelihood they'll be called upon during the season, I once selected Murray Goodwin and didn't know Zimbabwe were touring that summer and Goodwin didn't play a game. This would also make selection of overseas players in the year 2058 easier as you'll know which country they play for. As an extension of this point maybe generate the next seasons fixtures before the county squads are selected.
8) I think pre season games are a must. In ICC 2008 I noticed Sussex played the MCC in a pre season game, I think this could be expanded to include all the counties. You could write a programme so that the winner of the CC plays the MCC then counties 2nd to 7th play uni sides or similar.
9) With the IPL and addition leagues issue, I think people don't really want THE IPL but something similar. By this I mean having a sum of money ($4 million say) then bid for players to form a squad then play a tournement. Also what might be good is to include legends of the game in the list, the Bothams, Richards, Bradmans etc. This could be included as a 'play now' or 'classic matches' options.
10) Being fired or approached by other teams would also be good. It does get a bit boring when you've won everything for the past 40 years and you need a new challenge without restarting the whole game. Also it might be interesting playing against the team you've built up.
I know most of this has been repeated many times but I thought I'd add my 2 pennies worth. Hopefully Chris you like some of my suggestions.

That would probably mean changeable physics engines, which would probably not be plausible to do. For financial or time reasons. Or are you thinking along the lines of the new Football Manager game where you have 3D and 2D available?

If it's possible, I would like an option to choose the newer 3D gfx used in ICC 08 and ICC III or the gfx used in 06 version and earlier.

This is true sureshot. BUT gee, I get annoyed at NZ only being given two test rubbers against teams even though Ive got them to 3rd on the table and only 1 point behind second place (and having beaten Australia in Australia who are number 1 by 15 points).
Maybe a variable needs to be added that increases the number of test matches a team plays based on its ranking? Same could be done for one dayers and hows about adding another variable in that the better placed you are, the more likely you will get invited to one off tournaments?
Perhaps the management thing should be carried over to managing test nations too. So the more visits you get from the big financial teams like India or the more times you are invited to go to places like that means the more money that goes in to your national coffer. taking that forward, that will mean you have more money to spend on coaching and physio sessions not to mention being able to retain players (ie Bond going to play in India).
You know what...lets have a International Cricket Board game!

You could also add in variables so that if you are doing well as a test playing nation then you will get offered more tests in a test series. Conversely, if you are ranked lower then you will only get 1 or 2 test rubbers.
Same for one dayers, the higher in the rankings you are the more games people will want to play against you.

Can you use this thread for new features requests (in an effort to keep things in some sort of order).
Thanks,
