To be fair, a lot of us would rather sort the gameplay aspects out first. I don't see how useful the extra stats would be...

We already have Brian Lara cricket, get back to what cricket is all about STATS!

Cricket is a game of statistics but unfortunately there is not much statistics in the game.

Absolutely, I don't care for graphics at all. I want Wisden!, record partnerships v each county in each format, top 20's, most 100's career leaderboards. Most hatricks, economy rates. Its the one thing that I have never understood been missing from the game.

im new to this site, however i have played icc for years and seen and done everthing im sure i possibly could have. quite simply i would like to see a few new things to make it more interesting, challenging and realistic....

1: domestic leagues from australia, south africa and india

2: a chance for a county to tour before the season, or at least a few friendlies

3: a more enhanced training system, plus a visible youth team. if we could promote youth players perm/temp during the season it would be helpful if we have injury problems or even just want to have a look at a player in 1st class action

4: in real life the county season is now really split into 3 parts, the 20/20 cup splitting the 2 parts of the county championship season. many counties now sign a different overseas player for each part of the season. a chance for us to do that would make it good.

5: some of the names the computer makes up are a joke. a surrey player called jack stack tickled me.....

6: .... until he scored 153 not out against me on his county debut. what amazed me was after that he NEVER played another game!!!! surely he should of been given a run in the team? the game seems to pick the players it rates, rather than gos on averages.

7: im sure england selection is based on the same theory. i had a batman who averaged 43 who never got a single call up, but a player with an average of 34 who did. also had a player in 1 day who averaged 39 with the bat and 17 with the ball who never won a cap.

8: lets see some players who retire given coaching jobs. im sure players are not sent to the slaughter house when they retire.

9: coaches could then be sacked, quit or retire. we could then move county during our career if we wished rather than have to start a new game when we get bored.

10: improve the fielding. my little 9 year old brother could do better than the players on that game

im sure most/all of these points have been made of which i apologise but i just want to see the game move forward and become more popular

i think icc 2009 should have better 3 d clarity with respect to shots & balls

i think stadium name & iternity should be mentioned

statistics like strike rates , captaincy records & no of man of match

relation betwenn cricketers like brothers & cousons etc

media interaction , contraversy should be introduced

if u r taking one national team then u19 teams can be available

surprise debut like hasan raza & parthiv patel got at the age of 14

i meanst to say that i have plyed all version of ICC from ICC 2000 to ICC 2008.in iCC 2000 n 2002 when i used to get youth players at starting of a session i used to train them with techinques and i used to get fantastic results.whn u play a match after match click on a player go in match startics at left hand side corner you can see MATCH FORM and COACHING EFFECT which shows in %.in 2000 n 2002 even a player is on techineques its used to show for example MATCH FORM 40% and just below that COACHING EFFECT 35 %.its shows that techniques training used to work and my good players average in county cricket used to be 45 for batsman n abt 22 for bowlers i am talking abt after coaching .but in newer versions it only shows coaching effect whn players are on net practice and i cant make them play better.its seems that techniques function id disabled and only net paractice works.please tell me what is the best way to fine out that how the player is improving preformence from techniques and measurement such as 2000 and 2002 had.i love this game please work on coaching section more.

Net practise is for short term imprvement and will improve form however it will not improve the batter in for e.g A years time. Whereas training technique will improve a player in the long run and will not have any effect in the short term.

In the county record there are records only for first class matches. Why not have records for one day and twenty20.

OK I spoke to Chris, the issue with the names is getting Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and European surnames to match first names of the same nature. At the moment, initials are the safest bet.

However, Chris informs me that if someone with a decdent knowledge of these names was able to create some separate files for each, it might work out.

If you are willing to help out muhammad saad or someone else, I will provide you with a file of the current surnames, and you could separate them into those categories, then create separate first name files for the same categories - then Chris will code it into the game. Let me know if you are.

Im an indian i can helf a lot with Indian names and a few sri lankan names.

Would be nice if we actually could control the youth teams, like if you had either just one youth team of like 15 or so players, or a couple of them maybe under 21s and under 19s? I know a lot of people including me like to get younger people in the team in manager games and develop them. At the moment apart from the usualy crap youngers you get sent through randomly there are hardly any to find when your renewing contracts and things.

Also would be nice to see how fast your bowlers are bowling, dont know if this would be a hard feature to add though?

Thers one more thing which I must say I think should of been in the game since the very beggining it seems so obvious... The fielding in the game is to be honest pretty awfull, if proffesionals dropped as many easy catches as they do in the game then well they wouldnt last very long as a proffesional! Would be good to see some fielding coaching as well as the batting and bowling.

Just like to say though I completely agree with whoever it was that said there should be academy pre-season friendlies, would be good for testing out the youth players, I also agree that the players attributes should be shown like in football manager games, I think it just would add so much more to the game,

Just to belabour the point, guys: any suggestions made now will almost certainly not be taken into consideration. This thread is now 392 posts long - in almost every case, your suggestions have been made at least once before, and probably many more times than that.
