Let me sum up in terms of probability so that will make it easier to implement by the developers.
GROWTH
1)Extra ordinary growth points (G1)
2)Normal growth points(G2)
1)Small growth points(G3)
PERIOD
More over the growth period should be of 3 types
1) Long period (P1)
2) Normal period (P2)
3)Short period (P3)
so there will be total of 9 types of player development with different development rates.
so these should be the chances of occurrence of certain type of players.
G1P1 =5%
G1P2 =8%
G1P3 =17%
G2P1 =10%
G2P2 =22%
G2P3 =5%
G3P1 =10%
G3P2 =15%
G3P3 =8%
Total =100%
More over these are just the type of development and not players so the probability of 5% that player will have EXTRA ORDINARY GROWTH over LONGER TIME PERIOD will not necessary turn him in to a legend because INITIAL TALENT will play an important part because if he got less talent than that EXTRA ORDINARY GROWTH for LONGER PERIOD will only make him an above avg player.Last edited by muhammad saad; 06-15-2009, 05:49 PM.

A few people have said they want Ireland in the game now. And some of their supporters want them to have test status. Lol. On what basis? Beating Pakistan 2 years ago?
I would like to see all areas of the game improved before new teams are added.

i personally would love the opportunity to work with my country, i feel ireland are slowly moving up in the game and its a great thing to get people excited about the sport.
like i said- i'm sure i'm in the minority so i cant imagine anything being done about it but even so...

well in icc 2008 , its irritating wen the comp controlled team , in that , the left arm pacers keep bowling around the wicket to right handers and the right arm pacers keep bowling around the wicket to left handers ,
This flaw[according] to me shud be rectified , cos this is not realistic

hey aus,
i have a query regarding the wide angle view you mentioned in the features list.the screenshot in the australian publisher's website looks identical to the view that we get in icc 2008.also i wonder how long the makers of icc are going to take lack of funds as an excuse for no radical features.for one i can say CC has the same or lesser budget than icc yet its coming up with so much of new stuff to keep us hooked..also i read on the australian publisher's website that the last version of icc had sold half a million copies in australia alone..its unfair to deny us buyers new features citing such a vague excuse..no ipl,no australian setup,no bowling speed display..the only significant thing that you seem to have cited is t20 gameplay improvement..seems our fears of icc09 being a database update are coming true..

Your view seems to be in the minority. It is certainly not a database update as far as I'm concerned.
I think it's fair to say, that is an extensive features list, especially when compared to last year. There can often be several factors which impact upon what we can do, be they external or internal.
I've looked on the QV website and can't find this stat that we sold half a million copies of 08 in Australia. Can you link me to it?

well, sorry sureshot and aus for being a tad too harsh on you people..calling icc09 just a database update is a mistake on my part...but my point is it hurts me when i see CC having lesser stature than ICC cross my beloved ICC series in terms of new features by leaps and bounds..be it stats,IPL,aussie domestic competition,duckworth lewis,different stadiums,player photos etc.we have got new features but then they seem to be a speck in the sand when you compare them to your competitor.Auto-sim is a CC replica,the 3-D graphics hasnt changed..only the interface seems to have changed.everything is relative and icc is slowly but surely falling behind.its a great game but slowly fading away in comparison to cricket coach..and sureshot here is the link http://www.kotaku.com.au/2009/06/phi...icket-captain/

gameplay pace is too fast
i find that strokes played are at a rapid pace i.e: the batsman plays a defensive stroke and you see it rushing to the bounday and its extremely difficult to keep track of the ball when more aggressive strokes are played.
i liked the style of CC06 where gameplay pace was ideal.
can something be done about this?

Chris, I only have 1 change that I would like seen in the next version of International Cricket Captain.
I would love to see a section for stats on One Day International & T20 matches, not just for Tests, the same for Test stats such as lowest & highest score, batsman highest score, best bowling, partnerships, but would also love to see most runs in a season and also most wickets in a season for International teams, that would be cool, other then that, I love the game and don't want much changed at all.
