problems with icc2009

i have icc 08 + 09 i was running 08 on vista and it works perfectly fine i have since had a new laptop and bought icc09 on cd from game, ive installed the game and it runs really slow ive tried changing the the compatability mode to vista and xp and this still isnt helping can someone please tell me what i need to do because im missing out on my daily fix!
