    Field settings

    Chris
I think the field settings need to be redone a bit.
In ODIs even on very defensive, i have 2 slips and one short leg for a fast bowler, and one slip and 2 short legs for a spinner.
No One sets these kind of fields in ODIs., not even in tests most of the time unless u r going for the kill in the dying stages of the innings.

Please see if u can include more realistic field setting in the next edition.

This is true. It should be a bit easier to push around singles in the middle overs, without having to use a very high aggression

The one day engine really does need some work. I feel the test scores are about right for non-computer generated games (outside of some ridiculous fourth innings chases, and the scores in computer games being far too low), but the one day game doesn't really reflect the actual nature of one day games - particularly in the middle overs. I find there are far too many dot balls and boundaries in the middle overs compared to what actually occurs; i.e. more singles and twos.

Rectify this, and Twenty20s which are shambolic, and the actual match engine is closing in on perfect IMO.

Have you patched? I know there were a lot of complaints about this in the first version of the ICC2008, which they attempted to improve in the patch.

i feel i must also complain about the county championship matches. day 1 can be very sunny, very poor for pace bowlers and no turn for spinners yet the team batting 1st struggles to score 200.

day 4 comes its very cloudy, good for pace bowlers and some turn for spinners yet the bowling team (usually me) gets whacked everywhere no matter what i try.

these things dont happen every match dont get me wrong, but they occur regularly enough for me and other people to complain. its almost like the game has been programmed wrong

Two questions that I'm now going to ask which I hope the answers are yes to...

Are some batsmen more likely to be run out than others or is it completely random?

Same with injuries, are some players more injury prone? (Andrew Flintoff)
