  • Cricket Captain 2025 releases on Steam on Friday 27th June. iOS, Android, Mac and Switch coming soon.

    https://store.steampowered.com/.../Cricket_Captain_2025/

Build your dream team with Cricket Captain 2025. In a packed international season, Test cricket takes centre stage with Australia taking on South Africa in the World Test Championship final, followed by India’s tour of England and England’s tour of Australia.

Cricket Captain has a completely new look, with a beautifully designed, clean-look interface, reducing distractions and helping take gameplay to a new immersive experience. Taking feedback from our fans, we have updated the match engine and player generation to bring more balance to scoring rates and wicket chances in 20 Over games. We have also improved the speed of the game engine allowing faster progression through seasons and matches.

The new in-game Player Editor feature allows for editing player abilities, including batting, bowling, fielding, aggression, and opener type. For the first time, you can adjust your players as you want without sacrificing the core player-selection game play.
Cricket Captain 2025 expands our database once again, including individual most wicket and runs season stats for international teams. Improved interface and options allowing faster access to the vast database at the heart of the game.

All domestic systems have been updated to include the latest developments around the world.

    Key features for 2025 include:
    • New Interface: completely re-designed with fresh look.
    • Player Editor: adjust player’s abilities to reflect real-world performance.
    • Match Engine: improved 20 over engine following user suggestions.
    • Improved Player Generation: rebalanced with focus on 20 over skill.
    • Commentary: additional commentary from Daniel Norcross.
    • Score Predictor: faster score predictor for more immediate feedback.
    • Updated International Team Rankings: calculated from last 4 years results.
    • International Player Rankings: updated with historical data.
    • International Trophies: play in ODI and 20 Over International tournaments.
    • Updated Pakistan Domestic System: 18 new teams playing all three match types.
    • Domestic System Updates: all systems updated to latest rules and formats.
    • Test Championship: updated for the 2025 season.
    • Tournament Modes: play in stand-alone One Day, Asia Trophy or 20 Over World Cups. Create your own World XIs, All-Time Great and Custom Match Series.

Complete Stats Update for the 2025 Season:
    • Updated player database with over 8,000 players.
    • Updated stats for all match types.

You mentioned checking out Robs youtube channel, one thing he has is a Advanced stat pack for which we need to save scorecards to use. Please add save all score cards as it is paain staking to add all the games manually.

      Also a bonus request.
Highlights for the whole match and to save them

If we could also have a fixtures editor as the game becomes too repetitive after a few seasons. I would love to arrange more odis as thats my favourite format.

Thanks for the new game, old interface looks better upon first look

Awesome work guys! Will buy it on iOs when available.

Still cant believe it why we cant have another domestic competition added, even the t20 like in Bangladesh option, that i imagine, is way easier to make than the whole set up.

Thanks again for releasing the game. People get excited for new content because this game is awesome. Cheers.

To answer some of the questions:

Due to legal uncertainty about the use of some player names, we've changed the naming system for Cricket Captain 2024, this will continue for future versions of Cricket Captain.

The player editor is a player editor, there's no fixture editor.

We've not added any new domestic systems this year.

We currently don’t have any plans to include women’s cricket, due to financial constraints. We will look at this further in the future.

The in game player editor guarantees that I will buy cc25. Much appreciated for adding it and I empathise with you guys facing legal uncertainty regarding use of certain player names.

Will there be any changes to the player contracts ?
like loan players in county cricket?
will there be a window to sign replacement international players when international players randomly leave ?

and if its possible to add player of the series and your "manage" record like played ,lost and win since we can apply for jobs around
thanks for answering the previous questions

I understand it may be too late for this year's release (but maybe an update) but it would be good when signing players to be able to see national team schedules for the following season - e.g. currently when managing in England, when it comes to contracts for the next season, you can only see the international matches to be played over the winter. It would be good if I could see that, for example, during the T20 Blast, South Africa have a Test series which player A is likely to be picked for, so I wouldn't sign this player. The current system of availability percentage helps in some cases, but often I won't get to use a player I've signed because they happened to be with their national team when I planned on using them.

Also like mentioned above, a loan system would be much welcomed, as long as it can be used like in real life (e.g. two key bowlers get injured at the same time, so I can bring in someone on loan for a couple of weeks), and not just before the season when the other contracts are done. For the same reasoning, we should have the ability to sign replacement overseas players, whether this be due to international commitments or injury, throughout the season.

National team schedules can be checked by playing the other countries. It would be good to have an International calender like Cricket Coach 2007 had.
