  • ATG - List

I've just got the ACS/CSA record of NON-white matches 1971/72 to 1990/91. I will post updated statistics for those SA players in the SA ATG list. There are about ten from memory.

They data in CC is correct. Most of my confusion came from the common names. I bet followers of sub-continent cricket have the same problem.

On the topic of non-test players, the following players represented Australia in international tours in the years leading up to England's first tour of Australia. Aside from George Bailey, all were a part of the all-Aboriginal team that toured England in 1868.
      • George Bailey (Tasmania) - Bowler (RM, RHB, Malinga animation)
      • 'Johnny Mullagh' Unaarrimin (Victoria) - Allrounder (RM, RHB)
      • 'Harry Bullocky' Bullchanach (Victoria) - Opener/WK (RBH)
      • 'Sundown' Ballrinjarrimin (Australia) -
      • 'Dick-a-Dick' Jumgumjenanuke (Australia) - Allrounder (RF, RHB)
      • 'Johnny Cuzens' Yellanach (Australia) - Allrounder (RF, RHB)
      • 'King Cole' Bripumyarrim (Australia) - Batsmen (RHB)
      • 'Red Cap' Brimbunyah (Australia) - Allrounder (RM, RHB)
      • 'Twopenny' Murrumgunarriman (NSW) - Bowler (RM, RHB, Malinga animation)
      • 'Charley Dumas' Pripumuarraman (Australia) - Bowler (RM, RHB)
      • 'Jimmy Mosquito' Grongarrong (Australia) - Bowler (RM, RHB)
      • 'Tiger' Boninbarngeet (Australia) - Bowler (RM, RHB)
      • 'Peter' Arrahmunijarrimun (Australia) - Bowler (RM, RHB)
      • 'Jim Crow' Jallachniurrimin (Australia) - Bowler (RM, RHB)
The bolded players represented their state at the FC level.

A few other players of note from Australia who could be included:
      • Jeff Cook (England/Northamptonshire) - Batsman (RM, LHB). He represented NSW at an underage level before moving to England. He was a substitute fielder for the England test team.
      • Eddie Gilbert (Queensland) - Bowler (RF, LHB). He was the fastest bowler Bradman ever faced and played against touring teams such as MCC, West Indies and South Africa.
      • Jamie Cox (Queensland/Sussex) - Batsman (ROS, RHB). 18000+ FC runs and over 50 centuries. One of Australia's most prolific FC batsmen.
      • Darren Berry (South Australia/Victoria) - Keeper (RHB). The most FC keeper dismissals in Australia until recently.
      • Sam Trimble (Queensland) - Opener (RHB). 10,000+ FC runs and a consistent tour member of Australia but was never getting in the XI with Lawry and Simpson at the top of the order.
Obviously, it'd be great to have a complete FC/LA database since most gameplay seems to revolve around domestic competition but it'd be a huge ask to implement.
