    T20 - is there any point!

    For the past year or so, I have been playing on Normal difficulty. In the County Championship, I've held my own on a number of occasions and done pretty well. In One Day cricket, fairly similar. In T20 I was absolutely shocking!

    I have recently decided to drop the difficulty down to Easy. T20 Blast record - Played 9, Lost 9. So much for it being Easy! So much to the point, that I am absolutely convinced that it is not me, its the game.

    Whenever I see T20 now, I declare at the earliest opportunity available. It is absolutely pointless playing T20 cricket on this game. No matter which players or teams I have used, with different methods and tactics, same end result. Please sort this out for 2025.

    A bit harsh but you’re not on your own, many players simply avoid T20 as there is a steep learning curve to this format. Please join our Facebook group. As Admin and group expert I’ve written extensive tactics and tips which make T20 easily winnable even on Normal. There’s nothing wrong with the game trust me. Check us out, the tips/tricks can be found in our ‘files’ section. Well worth a read. Click image for larger version

      We'd be interested in knowing what you suggest on the group to see if there's anything we should be doing to make 20 over more plug and play in the game.

      It's a difficult format as there's so few events in the match. We've run countless simulations on 20 over and the numbers are pretty good, slightly high (about 10%) on the amount of wickets that fall, but runs scored are within 1% of real world simulations.

        I find both T20 and OD games are fair.

          Sorry for the delay Sureshot I’ve now polled the group re your ‘T20 plug and play query’ and the general consensus is as follows;

          Too many wickets are still tumbling for too lower scores. Can the 10% anomaly on wickets falling be reduced?
          Opening batters are taking too long to settle still (batsmen in general) and it’s nearly impossible to score heavily while the field is up.
          In death overs batsmen are still playing shots on near full aggression but missing still. Galling when 3 runs are required and there’s 2 dots and a single!

          Lastly 2 new ideas;
          Can there be an aggression bar specific to T20? Def in T20 is totally different to Def in FC/Tests.
          All wickets in T20 should default to a batsman’s wicket, there should be no wicket choice, this could help alleviate some of the scoring issue’s above? For a while you guys have suggested setting batting wkts, but the oppo A/I doesn’t agree.

            T20 is currently not satisfying in game and all of these suggestions sound spot on to me.

              Would be interesting, but I deleted my fb account like 3 years ago, not going to create a new one again. I'm done with this platform. Any other way to learn how to beat t20 games?

                I haven’t looked through the FB group but I found the suggestions on the forums worth looking through. There have been tweaks over the years but personally have found that my tactics that worked in 2018 work just as well now.

                I always feel that the AI is far better at chasing a total than setting one. In the past I kept a record and found I won something like 90% of my T20s bowling first and about 80% batting first

                  One thing I would like to see change for LO matches is bowlers form to stay up if their economy is good but they aren’t taking wickets. If bowlers don’t get wickets they lose form but economy is as important as wickets
