Hi all,
Love the game. Appreciate the effort and the accessibility of these forums. Just wondering if these features are realistically obtainable in future games.
1. All Time Greats who did not play international cricket. Any game that has Usman Afzaal as an "all time great" but Darren Stevens, James Hildreth among others drop off the radar after domestic retirements has a questionable definition of what constitutes greatness. These guys are arguably more relevant than one cap wonders from the 1800s. However, I love that the game has something for everyone and having lurked the forum, I see people are into playing with those kinds of players so full credit to them.
Two suggestions for this - is it possible to have a "player request" feature, where we can add the likes of Hildreth, Stevens. Peter Trego, Jimmy Adams, Graeme Napier etc to the database? Alternatively, a "create a player" option where we input statistics, previous clubs and traits (strong against spin etc)?
2. County teams playable from the main menu. They're all there with the data, it's just a case of playing as World XI A v World XI B and setting the search parameters for "for team" and then a county side. However, to save time, picking Durham as you would England in the "tournament mode" would be quite useful.
3. Custom league or tournament. Might be tough to implement into tournament mode from my limited coding experience. However, picking some teams and entering them into a "tournament league" complete with stats would be pretty cool.
4. Tournament mode statistics. When entering tournament mode, players have their tournament mode statistics displayed alongside their own. Cricket Coach 2014 had this for their International Series Mode and it just allowed for so much "replayability" - the option to play as England from 1996 for example and recreate each test series they played up to the present day, and see the statistics for that.
Not a dig at current games (or suggesting you build a game just for me) - just wondering how achievable any of this would be and if they're features others would see a benefit in.
