  • Can't this be more realistic!

    I love cricket and I love Cricket Captain. I have played played it for several years now and generally enjoy it. Yes, I know it's me v the computer program, but at times it is so ridiculous to play it.
    For a start cannot the unreasonable differences in run rates be made more fairer. Then there's the issue in limited over games, where generally if my run rate exceeds 10 I might as well give up because nearly all the time I'll be bowled out.
    However, this is the gripe that has got me posting this.
    Playing CC24, as New Zealand national team (FC) I have the following:
    1 - a strong team built up over 7 years,
    2 - 4 of the top 10 batters in the world including the number 1and
    3 - a superior bowling unit which includes the number 1 in the world and also the number 1 all rounder.
    I pick a NZ team to play away in England, but most of the side are either generally unfit or completely knackered which makes training a waste of time.
    So why:
    1 can't the run rate difference be fixed
    2 can't training be made more realistic
    3 why are there no warm up games for the touring side to help with fitness levels?
    I have purchased every iteration of CC and shall continue to do so. It would be nice to have it a little more realistic than it is.
    BTW I didn't just lose the series I got utterly annihilated in the three matches. In the six innings one of my players managed to make 42. It didn't drown out the quacking of the all the ducks!

    I would like to see tour matches back in the game, I remember years ago playing as Australia in England going up against some County sides for warm up/tour matches for form.

      Sorry but these days touring teams SELDOM play more than one or two FC non-Test matches on tour. A few years ago when Sureshot floated the idea of a tour generator I did have a proposed schedule for tours to Eng, Aust, SA, WI, Ind & NZ linked to the ATG engine. 5 Tests with 4 FC matches then each Test followed by a FC match.
