A couple questions

Hello community,

I'm new to Cricket - and since I love manager games - to Cricket Captain.

I'd have a couple Noob-Questions.

So first of all, is there a way to sort players by their stats? For usual, you can click on the top of the spreadsheet and it sorts from max to low, if you click a second time, it sorts from lowest to highest numbers.... well, that's what I know from other games. maybe I'm blind or silly, but I wasn't able to do that in CC - does that even work?

then, could someone explain me please all those stats? I mean, I believe I understand some of them, but not all. I was wondering what those "catches" mean f.e.; especially since you can find them under batter stats. So what "catches" are we talking about here?

So I'd need an explanation about those cricket stats in general - I do have wikipedia open, but it doesn't really explain everything though.

Hi,

If you're on PC/Mac in Player Records you can sort stats by clicking on the header title for each column (the little arrow tells you what is currently sorted). It's sorted based on "best" stat for that type, there's no option to click it again to sort by worst. If you're on mobile this sorting is done via a filter button.

Catches are how many catches the player has taken in a match. In terms of learning statistics you might be best off making note of a player's stats before a match and then see how they change afterwards. There's quite a lot of data.

You might also find the help pages useful, on PC you can access them by pressing F1, on Mac Fn+F1 and if you're on a touch device, do a three-finger press. The help page differs relative to what screen you're on at the time.

Thank you for your response; I really seem to be dumb.... I can click on those headers as I want, it won't sort anything. With "headers" you mean those in that blue line above the stats...? What the...?! I don't get that, it just won't work for me. Getting angry of myself rn...

EDIT: I still don't understand what "catches taken" means. ^^

Not all screens can be sorted, only Player Records. On this screenshot (click to enlarge) the red rectangle contains the sortable columns.



With regards to catches, in the screenshot below, if Handscomb had 100 catches before this match, he'd now have 101 after the match as he's taken a catch in this match.

Soooo....yup, that blue bar above; been assuming that but I can click like I want, nothing happens there, I don't know why.

About those catches.... what exactly does happen to get a "catch", sorry if I start to annoy you but Cricket feels like rocket sience for me atm lol^^
