I would say my ancient tactics are still going strong and on average concede 130 runs bowling first, which has been about the same for years now. That's domestic, haven't played many internationals yet but that is usually more around the 150 mark.

BTW mostly cloudy conditions sounds about right!
This is the last set of results in this season t20 blast. I think average score should be way above 150 these days. Maybe cloud affects limited over scores too much compared to real life.

Slow pitches in Bangladesh makes sense

after reading Wilted post and having similar experience playing in AUS I really just believe it’s English pitches that need to be higher scoring on the game

Just completed my first BBL season since changing tactics a bit (haven't played finals yet) and seemed to be scoring a bit more on average. I'd say except for a few notably low scores and one high score, I scored ~170+ per match. Keeping on top of form is very difficult though for the Aus domestic T20 since there isn't a 2nd XI to drop players to regain form. Once their form tanks, their season is over. I spent all of my training sessions on extra batting practice throughout the season just to keep everyone's form at a decent level.

With one match to go I was outright third on the ladder with no chance of dropping to fourth but a bonus point win would see me leapfrog into first place. With nothing to lose I went full aggression for the first 10 overs, then one off full until the final overs and finally back to full for the power play and final two overs.

This was surely a fluke but shows that when conditions are right, fast scoring for new batsmen at the death is possible.

Next game online: Needed 14 from 12 balls with 7 wickets in hand and lost.

I just don't understand what's going on here. I just can't seem to win at all at times. I only lost 2 wickets as well so batters aren't even going for it, despite being on full aggression.

Is anyone else finding this in the latter overs?

    Updated:

I played again and needed 23/24 balls, 9 wickets in hand and only scraped through. Opposition only managed 60 from final 10 overs despite having 8 wickets left.

Something definitely seems off at the end of a T20 innings. Neither I, nor the opposition can score runs near the end, no matter the conditions, the batsmen or the how settled they are for either me of my opponent.

Online, no one has got more than 170 Vs me and I don't think I've passed 170 either. This is from 29 online T20/T20i games.

Even from good positions such as 100-0 etc... The surface and conditions don't seem to make much difference. Don't quite understand what I'm not getting here. Tried multiple different tactics. Go big early, conserve wickets. Defend every time a wicket is lost and then go big, match the target run rate...

I'm still winning most games but that's because of my bowling.

Foxes indeed is the best player online at the moment - Agree. Just played a test against him and we both had a good outing. Ofcourse, there was always going to be a winner- which he turned out to be.

    Last two games.

    1. I needed 19/18 balls with 7 wickets in hand and only won off the last ball, didn't even lose any wickets.
    2. I needed 11/12 with 6 wickets in hand and lost by 3.

How is everyone else finding online?
Played 50 T20 games online and scored 9 times over 200 so pretty high rate for me considering lots of those games I don't bat first. Most of them when IPL teams challenge me on flat sunny pitches.

I find offline harder in domestic T20 in England, 160 seems a very good score which I guess it can be sometimes but not always.

I've got a few tactics I use... main one being my batting lineup is flexible. When I lose a wicket I decide if I need a finisher coming in, someone to block out some balls or a spin specialist.. I try and play game by situation rather than just stick to one formula. I also pick V AGG and AGG batsmen only even if I have better players who are not as attacking.

See my 260 online score, my opponent didn't bowl and batsmen or do anything stupid, I've never got close to this on any version of CC so well happy My opponent did well with bat too so obviously a flat pancake deck!

But I'm also not getting big scores when on tour. Even on roads in sunshine when I'm 90-0...

Even against Zimbabwe on a road in Harare I couldn't get over 200 and they're garbage on my save.

Not sure the game has boundary distance as a setting. I think it’s probably more weather and pitch condition. Most games in England have cloud it seems

Cam I just played a season of BBL and often got 180+ and went big and the end and chased down big totals. I’m really thinking it maybe just need to be some improvements in English grounds and conditions as that was a lot easier
